Looking for fresh ideas

I do not think I have heard a new name in so long. [name_f]Every[/name_f] list I read, every name I ever see is repeated. I feel doomed. I want names simply no one is using.

I like weird, strange, unusual, unique, rare, bohemian, alien, hipster, word names, names that could not possibly be name names, feelings names, mythological names, ancient names…

[name_m]Just[/name_m] about anything that you common folk would never ever consider naming a child.

Give it all to me. :o

Most of the names I like are considered unique and out there so, I got you.

I like [name_u]Salem[/name_u], [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] for girls and i like ptolemy and pascal. [name_m]Pascal[/name_m] has been a long time like of mine.

From your siggie u have a few faves of mine. [name_m]Balthasar[/name_m], maximilian.

[name_m]Nero[/name_m] is cute for a little girl. I love the name [name_m]Zero[/name_m] too if it wasnt so negative.

Meanings mean little to nothing to me. I am attracted to sound and feelings. I adore names from other countries, especially welsh and celtic names however I try to abstain from adding them to my list.

To be honest the name that speaks tp me most frm your reply was not even a name. You wrote ELEMENT. I adore this as a name. I have never considered it before. This is how I find my names. Random pops here and there out of context. So far that is the winner and it wasnt even suggested lol!!!

Ones I like from your suggestions are belisent and nasrin. I used to have Belisent on my lists but it isnt exciting to me now. [name_f]Nasrin[/name_f] is gorgeous. I love the sounds and the way it looks. Reminds me of [name_m]Nazareth[/name_m]. A girls name I like alot.

The past couple days I have been back into looking for names. Here are a few i have wrote down. None i love. None rare enough for me. But to get an idea of ones i kind of like…

I was thinking more about your post…
When I was younger I really wanted to name my kid [name_u]Seven[/name_u]. Thinking of that led me to the name Sverre. Both are not common but I don’t know if I’d call them new.
Another option— [name_u]Mercury[/name_u].

This is not meant to sound sarcastic, I suggest this seriously. Browsing through a dictionary would be a great way to find potential names. Word names at least. You said Element just kind of leapt at you, I am sure it would happen again. My brothers name was discovered in a phone book, that could be surprising too. Not just first and last names, but street names, names of businesses, etc. I know you said meanings are not important to you, but it is easier to choose a meaning, say “celestial” and then find words/names in other languages that mean that to then decide if you like any of their sounds.

Thank you. I have definitely looked for names in similar fashions. You would not believe the lengths I go to to find names I enjoy. The phonebook makes sense. I read alot of names in t.v and movie credits to find last names I like as firsts. I use inspiration from all over though. I really love words like

Abstract nouns
Honorifics and occupational names
Mythological names
Names that are 10+ letters long and ridiculously ostentatious sounding.
Scientific elements
Minerals, rocks, scientific names of plants and animals.
Anything related to space and beyond
Robot sounding names
Alien sounding names
Really hippie like names
Any name you have never known someone to use.

Anyway, thnk you!! Sorry for the reply just wanted to add more overall info into my post.

None really new but it is helpful.
[name_m]Ty[/name_m] for the suggestions. From these some I have liked are…

Ender
Wisher
[name_m]Rocket[/name_m]

[name_f]Fiammetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Galaxy[/name_f]
[name_u]Mars[/name_u]
[name_f]Nebula[/name_f]
[name_m]Morrissey[/name_m]
