Looking for girl name advice

We just found out we are having a little girl. My husband is Italian and we go to [name]Italy[/name] often though we live in the States. We want a name that works in both places, meaning one that is easy to pronounce by both Americans and Italians, and that is still beautiful, feminine and unique. We love names that start with V and prefer Italian versions as it goes with our last name best. The front runner is [name]Viviana[/name] [name]Roselyn[/name] (middle name is combo if my [name]MIL[/name]'s name and my mother’s name) Please let me know what you think of this name or if you have any other ideas that fit our difficult criteria. Thank you!!

[name]Viviana[/name] [name]Rosalyn[/name] works in both English and Italian.

Some other possible names you could consider:

[name]Sofia[/name]
[name]Violetta[/name]
[name]Eleonora[/name]
[name]Margherita[/name]
[name]Lucia[/name]
[name]Leonora[/name]
[name]Paloma[/name]
[name]Gianna[/name]
[name]Carlotta[/name]
[name]Theodora[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name]
[name]Sienna[/name]
[name]Vittoria[/name]

I love [name]Francesca[/name]! When your in the states you can call her [name]Frankie[/name] as a NN

[name]Just[/name] remembered another awesome one you could use… [name]Stella[/name]

The name you’ve chosen is beautiful! I think that [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Roselyn[/name] would also work wonderfully. [name]Paloma[/name] really stands out and would be the ideal name imo! Good luck deciding

I like the combo you have! Anyway, I wanted to suggest [name]Valencia[/name]. It’s not Italian, but Spanish, so it still has European flair. It means brave and strong. I think it would work both in [name]Italy[/name] and the states.

[name]Sylvia[/name]/[name]Silvia[/name] is a [name]Roman[/name]/Latin name, so it definitely would work for you

Thank you so much for your thoughts! We really liked [name]Viola[/name]/[name]Violetta[/name] for awhile but thought the whole pronunciation thing between both countries would be tough. I like the not so common English pronunciation vy-la best, and DH likes the Italian vee-o-la version. [name]Valencia[/name] is another good one, hadn’t though of that, and I do think [name]Vittoria[/name] is quite nice. If we tire of V’s, [name]Francesca[/name] is gorgeous too! Lots of good food for thought. Wanted to have more than one name on the list, so this really helps.

[name]Viviana[/name] [name]Roselyn[/name] is beautiful!

[name]How[/name] about:

[name]Alessia[/name]
[name]Marcella[/name]
[name]Mariella[/name]
[name]Milena[/name]
[name]Sabina[/name]
[name]Vittoria[/name]
[name]Valentina[/name]

Italian names are beautiful, and [name]Isabella[/name] is one of my favorites. It’s so beautiful and feminine.

[name]How[/name] about [name]Isabella[/name] [name]Roselyn[/name]? That’s good for both Americans and Italians and it is a nice pair.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I really think what you have chosen is very nice. It’s beautiful and has family meaning!

[name]Bella[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is a beautiful Italian sounding name. x

[name]Viviana[/name] [name]Roselyn[/name] is gorgeous!

I like [name]Viviana[/name]! And [name]Roselyn[/name] is nice too. But I think you should re-think [name]Violetta[/name]. Pronunciation isn’t really much of a problem weighed against such a beautiful name like that : ) I also really like [name]Lucia[/name], and [name]Teresa[/name].

[name]Viviana[/name] is gorgeous. I think it’s a great choice!

Here are a few that I really like:

[name]Alda[/name]
[name]Eleanora[/name]
[name]Gemma[/name]
[name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Vera[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Pippa[/name] (just for the nickname, “little pip”)

I loved [name]Isabella[/name] for the longest time, and thought for sure we’d use this name if we one day had a little girl. Unfortunately stateside it’s become one of the top 3 names used because of the twilight book series. Darn!

Anyone have an opinion on the name Verdiana? Heard this one in [name]Italy[/name] the other day and thought it was really unique and quite pretty. I’ve gotten equally as bad reactions to it though.

Honestly [name]Violetta[/name] or [name]Viviana[/name] sound more pretty to me than Verdiana. Your onto some great combo’s here though!
Have you thought about [name]Graziella[/name]? This is a gorgeous name.

I like [name]Viviana[/name] a lot. I don’t think you can go wrong with Vivana [name]Roselyn[/name], it’s a very pretty name. [name]One[/name] suggestion I did have for you, since you say you like [name]Isabella[/name] so much, is what about [name]Annabella[/name]? It’s Italian, it’s beautiful, it’s very similar to [name]Isabella[/name] but it’s a lot more unusual…

[name]Just[/name] wanna add one of my favourite italian V name here, [name]Vincenza[/name].
