Looking for mystical girl names with interesting backgrounds

Recently I stumbled upon the name [name_f]Ligeia[/name_f] while reading [name_m]Edgar[/name_m] [name_m]Allan[/name_m] [name_u]Poe[/name_u] and I looked it up. On Nameberry it says that [name_f]Ligeia[/name_f] means “clear-voiced, whistling” and that, in Greek Mythology Lygeia was the name of a Siren that was half-woman, half-bird and I was really smitten by such a interesting meaning. So now I’m wondering if you know any other mystic girl names (apart from the obvious ones such as [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f], [name_f]Athena[/name_f], [name_u]Calypso[/name_u] ect…)?

Here are some that I really like…

Aella -Means “whirlwind” in Greek. She was a warrior who was killed acidentally and tragically, so a bit of a sad ending, but a beautiful name.

Aoide -Means “song” in Greek! I can’t be completely sure on pronunciation, but if I remember correctly from my looking around its something like ay-oh-dee. She is one of the original muses in Greek myths, the muse of song.

[name_m]Aruna[/name_m] -Means “reddish brown” in Sanskrit. A Hindu goddess who is a charioteer and drives the sun god [name_m]Surya[/name_m] through the sky, according to mythology.

Bellona -Comes from a Latin word that means to fight. In mythology this is the name of the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] goddess of war. Its a new one to me, but I think could work well in the modern world!

Elpis -In Greek mythology Elpis was the last spirit that remained in Pandoras jar after [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] had released the evil spirits. Elpis means hope and is the personification of hope in Greek.

Euanthe -Comes from a Greek word meaning blooming/flowery, so a beautiful meaning. I can’t seem to find forsure Euanthe’s is role in mythology, but it’s such a pretty name I wanted to include it!

Hemera -Means day in Greek. Hemera is the name of the goddess of daytime. Interestingly enough, according to legend she was maybe the daughter of [name_f]Nyx[/name_f], goddess of the night.

[name_f]Inanna[/name_f] -In mythology [name_f]Inanna[/name_f] was a Sumerian goddess of earth, love, fertility and war. Thats alot! She also seems to have had a bit of a tragic story, but the meaning of [name_f]Inanna[/name_f] “lady of the heavens” is beautiful.

[name_f]Luned[/name_f] -[name_f]Luned[/name_f] was a servant of a Lady who rescues a knight in a collection of tales from Welsh mythology.

[name_f]Pomona[/name_f] -From a Latin word meaning fruit tree. This was the name of a [name_m]Roman[/name_m] goddess of fruit trees, a random but fun meaning and connection!

Vellamo -Finnish meaning, to surge/swell. Vellamo was the name of a Finnish goddess of the sea.

[name_f]Circe[/name_f] - witch from Greek mythology
Hecate- Greek goddess of magic
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] - Greek/Shakespearean name made witchy by [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] - goddess from Norse mythology
Amphitrite - sea goddess in Greek mythology
Tisiphone, Alecto and Megaera - the three Furies (Greek)

Thank you so much for all your suggestions! @columbiacharm Euanthe really is a beautiful name and on Behind The Name it says that in Greek mythology, Euanthe was the mother of the three Graces or Χα”ιτες (Charites). If you don’t know Behind The Name yet, I find it a very nice, professional name website that goes a bit deeper into the etymology of each name than Nameberry.
