My husband and I are not yet ttc, but we stumbled across the name [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] recently and have fallen in love. We love that it is feminine but not too frilly. It has an elegance to the full name but the nickname [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] is spunky. It’s also familiar yet still unexpected. It is neither a classic nor trendy. Perhaps most importantly, it feels like we aren’t heaping expectations on her because [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] could be any kind of girl.
I was hoping you guys would have some name suggestions that would feel right in a sib-set with [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]? So far we’ve thought maybe [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] could work for a boy or [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] for another girl. I fear [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] is too obscure and too similar in sound to work, though (3 syllables, ends with “n” sound, nn would be the first syllable).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Right now I’m just having a little fun trying to build a favorites list around this train of thought. You guys are the best!
