Thanks for all the fantastic feedback the last time I posted! After great difficulty we have narrowed our name options down to a final two but would love your opinions on middle names!
I love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] - it’s so sweet and charming!
All the [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] combos are lovely though and I like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] too. The only one I’m not sure on is [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] because it sounds a little descriptive
Other middle ideas: [name_f]Jill[/name_f]/[name_f]Jillian[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Jade[/name_f], [name_f]Summer[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f], and [name_f]Julia[/name_f]/[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. Ranked from favorite to least favorite: [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]: I love this! [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is such an underused middle option, and I’m glad to see it here. This is such a bright, classic, stylish name. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]: It was hard deciding between [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] for the number one spot, and I ended up deciding on the former due to my personal preference of the name [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]. However, [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is equally gorgeous! I love the elegance and the shared “o.” [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]: This is so beautiful. Once again, I love the shared “o” that lends the name such a fantastic flow. This sounds like a modern classic, current while not trendy. My one quibble with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is that it is so popular in the middle, but I really love it here. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]/[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]: I love both of these equally! The flow is nice, but doesn’t stand out to me as much as previous names. However, [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is such a lovely, vintage name, and I’m glad to see it get some love. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]: I’d avoid this for the same reason I’d avoid something like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]: It sounds like a adjective+noun name. Both are lovely on their own, but I’m not sure I like them together.
I’m a very big fan of [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] nn [name_u]Penny[/name_u]! Out of your middle names, I like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], but I don’t like the commonness of them, [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] has a nice ring to it
My favorite is [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] but I love all of your [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] combos. My favorite middle name for [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u].
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is the most elegant, but I like the vintage appeal of [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] too. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] is too “[name_u]Red[/name_u] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]” for me. I do like the idea of [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] or [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f].
Oooh, I love both [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]! I think I actually like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] more, but am not a huge fan of [name_u]Penny[/name_u] (I prefer [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] or [name_f]Lola[/name_f] for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]!), so I’d go [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f], I think! Either way, you can’t go wrong–you’ve got some amazing choices there!
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] are my favorites…cute, sweet and good flow.
I’m gonna play devil’s advocate and say I love [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]. I don’t see it sounding like a descriptor to necessarily be bad, especially when it’s describing something beautiful.
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] has an adorable 1960’s vibe without feeling dated. Makes me think of the Monkees and psychedelic wallpaper.
My favorite is a different combo of your existing names:
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]
Sounds beautiful and very sweet to me! As does [name_u]Penny[/name_u] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]
One other middle name that you could consider (works with [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] better than [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]):
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]
I feel like [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] softens the hard end of [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] a bit. I think it sounds fun and classy at the same time.
Oh, I adore [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]! But, trust me, you couldn’t possibly go wrong with any of these gorgeous combos! Good luck!
I think that we have decided that option one will be [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and option two will be [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]. Only other dilemma is we just thought of another contender - [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f].
Would love to know if you prefer [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]!
