[name_f]Do[/name_f] names that end in S sound off paired with the last name Blynt? Like the last name is splint? ex: [name_u]Miles[/name_u], [name_u]Ellis[/name_u], [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]
Are first names that also start w B a mismatch? Ex: [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u], [name_u]Beckett[/name_u]
I don’t find that last names ending in s run into Blynt, particularly if the name is well-known like the examples you’ve provided.
I sometimes really like alliteration in first and last names. For me, [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] and [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] don’t match Blynt because of their hard consonant endings though - I find them hard to say. But [name_m]Benji[/name_m] Blynt, [name_u]Bobby[/name_u] Blynt or [name_u]Beau[/name_u] Blynt sound lovely!
I think names that end in S go just fine with Blynt! I do hear the slight “split” sound, but I’m sure everyone would be able to tell the first name from the last name, and wouldn’t mistake it for splint. Especially with familiar names like the ones you listed.
I really love B names with Blynt, as I love alliteration! I think it makes the name more fun and memorable the only thing I’d be hesitant about is one syllable names, as some sound good (like pp’s [name_u]Beau[/name_u] Blynt), while others sound slightly too choppy (like [name_m]Ben[/name_m] Blynt)!
(just want to add that I think a full first name with a one syllable nickname is fine, like [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] “Ben”!)
I’m a sucker for alliteration so, personally, I love the sound of [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] Blynt. It sounds like the name of a famous author or news anchor. However, I’m not a huge fan of [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] Blynt. I think the name itself sounds too harsh.
