I’m trying to narrow down my list of loves to names I’d realistically use. I wouldn’t want to use a first name that’s popular. I have a very popular name and was fed up of always being one of multiple Sophies. I think anything goes with a middle name however.

Is it cheesy to use on a [name_u]Winter[/name_u] baby or is it silly to use on a baby born in another season? Is it best to just stay away from season names? :rofl:

Emmeline [name_u]Dove[/name_u] -gentle but bold

Evangeline [name_u]Dove[/name_u] -sweet but a bit to much ev/ve for me

Genevieve [name_u]Snow[/name_u] -beautiful and bright

Rosalind [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] -so sleek and sweet

Rosamund [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] -I think I slightly [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]. It’s lighter and lovely

Tallulah [name_u]Wren[/name_u] -so cheerful and bright

Theodora [name_u]Lyric[/name_u] - I don’t love the flow

Betsy [name_u]Nightingale[/name_u] -I think [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] works just right with the bold [name_u]Nightingale[/name_u]

Winnie [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - feminine and sweet witha little rugged edge

Daphne [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]-gorgeous and fresh. I don’t think it’s roo Scooby doo. [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Odette[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] came to mind

Elodie [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is lovely and gentle. I’ve only ever met one [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]

Eloise [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is sleek and pretty. Again, I’ve only met one [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and I’ve only heard it being called once

Flora [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]-I use [name_f]Flora[/name_f] spread but i can separate it from the lovely [name_f]Flora[/name_f]

Primrose [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] -very frilly and bold. I think of the flower first

Odette [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is lovely. I think [name_f]Odette[/name_f] is similar enough to [name_f]Colette[/name_f] that it doesn’t feel too odd. [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f]

Willa [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is so free and sweet. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]

Winter [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is gorgeous. I think [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is fine for any season

I don’t think any of your names in that first part are too frilly or long.
From those options I like: [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_u]Snow[/name_u], [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u].
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_u]Lark[/name_u] and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_u]Lyric[/name_u] don’t work for me. They seem a bit off?

Betsy [name_u]Nightingale[/name_u] and [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f].
I don’t think they’re cutesy at all. I quite like both of them. They’re both sweet and edgy in their own way and they pair nicely together.

I think these days people will think more Bridgerton than Scooby Doo but neither are bad associations.

I feel like [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] are growing in popularity as a name/sound/thought/option but staying steady as newborns. [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] may become more popular as many people liked [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] from Bridgerton.
I adore [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] but I think I would go for [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] these days as it sounds happier.

Flora [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
I think people would definitely see the name as a little girls flowery name more than a brand name especially for margarine when there’s so many options out there.
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is a lovely pairing and a beautiful name.

Primrose [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
I think some people would associate with hunger games but not as much these days. From memory she went more by Prim then [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]?
I don’t think [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] flows that well with [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] and I’m not sure what to offer in it’s place :thinking:

I don’t think [name_f]Odette[/name_f] is too unusual. The name has been around for a long time so I think it would be refreshing for people to hear [name_f]Odette[/name_f]. I think it’s a bit more in the spotlight again as it’s a minor character on [name_f]Nancy[/name_f] [name_u]Drew[/name_u].

I’m not fond on the name [name_f]Willa[/name_f] but I think it is becoming more popular.

It’s not cheesy or silly. People go for [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] and [name_f]Summer[/name_f] and you don’t really go oh that’s her name but it’s not that season or that’s her name and the season she was born in.
I prefer [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] to [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f].

In regards to [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f], I know people with those names and as far as I know the associations you mentioned are never picked up on, so it should be fine :blush:
