I love boys names that are nature related like [name_u]River[/name_u]
& [name_m]Wolfe[/name_m]
however I’m not sure I would use one of these names when it comes down to naming an actual son as I think they are perhaps a little limiting!
Apart from nature related my styles a bit all over the place…I guess I like names that have a rugged outdoorsy feel. Some other names that feel a little more flexible that I love but can’t use for various reasons…
[name_u]Finn[/name_u]
[name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]
[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]
[name_u]Hunter[/name_u]
[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]
[name_m]Bodhi[/name_m]
What other names come to mind for you that you might suggest? What are your thoughts in general in using a name like [name_u]River[/name_u]/ [name_m]Wolfe[/name_m])
I think [name_u]River[/name_u] is perfectly usable. A woman I know (actually I just read her blog, but oh well) just named her son [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]. [name_u]James[/name_u], as a classic, somewhat settles down more unusual [name_u]River[/name_u]. Such a handsome combo!
[name_m]Wolfe[/name_m] is also lovely, but I agree that it’s a little limiting so I’d use it as a middle.
[name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_u]Finch[/name_u] and also [name_m]Forrest[/name_m]. I actually saw [name_m]Forest[/name_m] for a girl with nn [name_f]Estie[/name_f] quite recently and thought it was gorgeous!
I love [name_m]Zane[/name_m]. It feels very clean to me. What about [name_u]Aspen[/name_u]? I also like the name [name_m]Pine[/name_m]. I guess I’m a tree-lover. I notice you like short names. What about just [name_m]Land[/name_m]? [name_m]Bear[/name_m]?
I think [name_u]River[/name_u], [name_m]Wolfe[/name_m], etc are fine as long as the other names balance it out. If your last name is [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] then [name_m]Wolfe[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] is just fine. If your last name is [name_u]Winter[/name_u] then [name_m]Wolfe[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is a no no. I also wouldn’t get too word-y with first and middle like [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_m]Wolfe[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]. It’s just too much!
