Loosely naming after Kristie

This may be tough. We are trying to think of a girl name that can be a “loose” tribute to the name [name_f]Kristie[/name_f]. Here is what I mean. [name_u]Griffin[/name_u] was loosely named after [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f]. Both contain the “iffin” sound. You don’t immediately think that one is the other’s namesake though because they don’t start or end in the same way. So we’re looking for girl names that could be loosely named after [name_f]Kristie[/name_f] in the same way. We are not looking for names like [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] or [name_f]Christina[/name_f] or [name_f]Kristiana[/name_f] because they sound too similar to [name_f]Kristie[/name_f]. Thanks in advance!

I do like [name_f]Misty[/name_f] as a nickname, but what could it be short for?

Coral is pretty too, but I think a little trendier than I like.

I like [name_u]Bristol[/name_u], [name_f]Callista[/name_f], and [name_f]Wisteria[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you know a name that [name_f]Misty[/name_f] use a nickname for?

I’ve heard [name_f]Misty[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] and [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f].

If you’re going for a “loose” tribute, you can spell the name [name_f]Iris[/name_f] out of four of the letters in the name [name_f]Kristie[/name_f]. It leaves you with KTE, so even [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] could be a cute combo that uses all of the letters. Or I suppose [name_f]Siri[/name_f] too! Good luck!

I love the suggestion of [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. It’s a very loose association but works for what you’re looking for.

Everytime I see this in my feed I want to come back and say [name_f]Kjersti[/name_f]. I stand by what I said about [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] or [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f], “[name_f]Misty[/name_f],” and I know you said you want it loose and not [name_f]Christine[/name_f]-y… but I just want to make sure you know of the name [name_f]Kjersti[/name_f], which is much rarer in the [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking context so perhaps you’ve never come across it and don’t know it’s hiding under your nose.

The one [name_f]Kjersti[/name_f] I met pronounced it CHEER-stee. I love it.

Love this suggestion! I was going to say something similar with [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] or [name_f]Esty[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
