I’m split between these two names! I’m making a character, and these are the finalists.
[name]Rosaleen[/name_f] is more common and feels more old-fashioned to me, and old-fashioned is what I’m going for. The sound/look is beautiful and I love the nn [name]Rosie[/name_f].
On the other hand, Loraleen has a sort of bell-like sound (is that just me, or…?) and rolls off the tongue easily. Plus, there’s the nn [name]Lora[/name_f].
Characteristics:
- [name_m]Long[/name_m], straight black hair (almost always in double dutch braids or a milkmaid braid)
- [name_m]Tan[/name_m] skin
- [name]Amber[/name_f] eyes, leaning towards golden
- Always smiling, even when she’s mad
- Gets quieter when she’s mad
- Likes to sing old songs (Greensleeves, Wellerman, etc.)
- Good at singing
- Likes to read, but only reads books she already read and knows she likes
- Likes shiny things (gems, gold, silver, etc.)
- Dislikes math
- Dislikes being told what to do, but follows orders fairly well
- Very stubborn
