Lorelei

I am torn about this name. had my son been a girl this would have been his name. After we had my son i fell out of love with it for a while, but am now falling back in love. I am a little weird about using it now that it would have been [name]Nils[/name]'s name.

Also, my hubs is very picky and there are only a few names he likes and even of those that include [name]Serafina[/name] and [name]Adeline[/name] he always likes [name]Lorelei[/name] more. As do I. Problem with it right now is I cant find a middle name that flows well. I want one middle name as my son only and me and my DH only have 1 middle name. I want it to be a family name.
When we were considering if the first time he was going to be [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name], [name]Evelyn[/name] being my deceased Great grandma.

Some Family names

[name]Teri[/name] [name]Lynn[/name] (My mom)
[name]Judith[/name] [name]Ann[/name] (My grandma)
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Ann[/name] (DH’s mom)

I thought [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Ann[/name]. [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Ann[/name] Bernstrom. Thoughts? I know [name]Ann[/name] is generally a filler MN but it is a famiyl name for two of our family members.

I love [name]Lorelei[/name]. I think of the [name]Ella[/name] [name]James[/name] song. It reminds me of mermaids and romance. I think [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Ann[/name] sounds lovely, I like it more than [name]Evelyn[/name]. I think even though [name]Ann[/name] could be considered a “filler name” it honors your family. Go for it.

[name]Lorelei[/name] Bernstrom sounds like an international movie star a la Femke [name]Jansson[/name] or [name]Ingrid[/name] Bergman. I really love it and it sounds perfect with [name]Nils[/name]. Also, I do like [name]Ann[/name] with [name]Lorelei[/name]. Normally, I prefer [name]Anne[/name], but with [name]Lorelei[/name], it would seem too overloaded with the letter E.

[name]Ann[/name] doesn’t seem to be as filler as it used to be. Personally, I think [name]Ann[/name] balances out [name]Lorelei[/name]. The only others that I can think of are [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Jude[/name], [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Marie[/name], or [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Theresa[/name], and none of those sound as nice as [name]Ann[/name].

[name]One[/name] last thought: [name]Meredith[/name] is name that came to me to honor [name]Mary[/name] (M), [name]Teri[/name] (ere), and [name]Judith[/name] (dith). I don’t know how well [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Meredith[/name] sounds. (I actually like [name]Meredith[/name] [name]Lorelei[/name]). Maybe [name]Meredith[/name] for a different child.

I, too, love [name]Lorelei[/name]! I think [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] sounds just fine. It’s not the greatest flowing name I’ve ever heard but it certainly works. Have you considered [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Eve[/name]? That flows even nicer [name]IMO[/name]… but I understand if you wanted to use the full name to honor your grandmother!

[name]Lorelai[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] sounds lovely! I like this much better then [name]Ann[/name].

I am partial to [name]Lorelei[/name] since it is my name. [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Ann[/name] sounds lovely and it especially works since it is a family name.

I’ve never been a big fan of [name]Lorelei[/name] but I think it sounds awesome with your surname. And I agree [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Ann[/name] is so nice.

I think of [name]Marilyn[/name] [name]Monroe[/name]'s character in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Lee[/name].

I am not fond of [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name]. [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Eve[/name] is better. But I think [name]Ann[/name] is best.

[name]Lorelei[/name] has been my secret name crush since I was a little girl and my father taught me to recite The [name]Lorelei[/name] in [name]German[/name]. I always wanted to use it, but was too afraid my daughter would be called [name]Lori[/name] as nn, which I really don’t like. I had four girls and never used the name. I regret it now.
