Loretta?

What are your thoughts on the name [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]?

I’ve been crushing on it lately, since [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_u]Bright[/name_u] (I’m a huge The Only [name_m]Way[/name_m] Is [name_u]Essex[/name_u]/TOWIE fan - [name_f]Ferne[/name_f] McCann sold me on [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], and [name_f]Amy[/name_f] Childs sold me on [name_f]Polly[/name_f]!) used it for her sweet little one back in [name_f]February[/name_f].

Can’t wait to hear your feedback!

Thanks!

I love [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]! Its a guilty pleasure of mine. One I probably would never use as a first name because I have so many other girl names on my list but I’ve definitely considered it as a middle. I like [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f].

I think its pretty, sweet and classic. [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] and [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] [name_m]Young[/name_m] are great namesakes. It does feel a little “country” probably because of the [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] association (not that there’s anything wrong with that!) but I feel its ripe for a rebrand because its a refreshing Lor/Laur name, way more refreshing than [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] or [name_f]Laura[/name_f]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_f]Loralei[/name_f] is feeling worn out. [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] is a stunning breathe of fresh air and i feel like names with country associations like [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Tanya[/name_f] have at some point become more versatile, why not [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]? I think its really pretty!! Im glad to hear more celebs are using it!!

It looks pretty, I like the nicknames and how unique it is, but… For some reason it looks a bit dated to me? Like when I imagine a [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] she looks like she’s in her 50s.
I think I might like it more as [name_f]Lauretta[/name_f] but not sure.

I don’t have a good experience with a [name_f]Loretta[/name_f], though the name itself sounds okay.

I like it! I think it’s definitely ready for a comeback. I absolutely love the nn [name_f]Etta[/name_f].

I agree with @tallemaja! Something about it is just a little fusty, although it is a very pretty name in theory.

I don’t like it. Very dated.

I think it’s sassy. Sort of a mid-century fireball.

I really like [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] but I think I like Loreto even more, the only thing I’m not a big fan of us the nickname [name_f]Lore[/name_f] which all the Loretos I know use

I love [name_f]Loretta[/name_f], it’s on my long list of favorites. It’s also my aunts middle name whom I’m close with, she’s in her early 60’s. To me [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] is a unique vintage name ready for a come back.

Honestly not a major Towie fan I’m more Made in [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] but I love nearly all the Towie baby names including [name_f]Loretta[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_u]Bright[/name_u]’s daughters name [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is beautiful. [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] feels like a name of a jazz singer really sparkly and romantic. I think [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] is gorgeous love the nickname [name_f]Etta[/name_f]!
