Okay so sorry this is like my 5th question this week. But everything is failing , and I am sure that other parents know how hard the name search can be sometimes… We thought maybe [name]Hailey[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] but now i have noticed the weather indication in those two names I don’t like it anymore. Though for sentimental value, family links and the meanings I am thinking I would like to use [name]Rayne[/name] as a middle name. Does anyone have ideas for a first name to go with that please?
For more information I would appreciate names that are not overly popular unless you think they really really suit and flow well. I am strongly trying to avoid her being the 7th person in her class with the same name. I like old names and newer names, but nothing too wacky , no strange spellings and preferably with a nice meaning. I am so strung out searching and coming up with nothing, I have looked through so many lists and searched and please don’t be offended if I don’t pick your names, I have seen so many and know what i like or don’t like. I really need help and not many people are responding when i post so , it is really hard. I am really afraid of her not having a name. If it was a boy I would be okay. As it is a lovely princess I am a little stuck… I do like more girlier names and names that flow well off the tongue, rather than harder more chic popular names like eden or tiegan. I would preferably like one that had a cute nickname too.

I had the same problem’Jadeybug. I went into labour, and got the hospital, still not having a name picked out that both my husband and I agreed on for our 2nd. It took 12 hrs after she was born to decide. Good luck and try not to stress to much.

The first name I thought of though was [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Rayne[/name]. However, since that name is quite popular, what about [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] or [name]Elisa[/name] [name]Rayne[/name]?
I would stay away from any word names, even if it is a well established name, since that would make her name sound like an adjective (i.e. [name]Violet[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] or [name]Sienna[/name] [name]Rayne[/name] -though I really like [name]Violet[/name]).

You know it’s okay not to have the name finalised and this very moment! I know loads of people who have waited till the day of the birth looked at their child gone through their lists and decided yes she/he’s a [name]Wilhelmina[/name] or [name]William[/name] for example. [name]Don[/name]'t worry. I’m not keen on [name]Hailey[/name] as a name I’ve never liked her she seems bland. But I think [name]Rayne[/name] is a intriguing choice and the family associations are also great.
Well alot are popular and seen over and over i don’t like to point them out and seem ungrateful, i like cassidy but not overly keen to use cassie or cass as a nickname and agin although i love it i know it isn’t HER name if that makes sense. I am not keen on danica, i don’t like the way it sounds, josephine is a little too old fashioned even though i like others from it’s time, also it is becoming very popular of late, i like elodie, addison , adelaide, eliana, phoebe , ariana etc but again either other half doesn’t or i don’t find the nicknames right or girlie enough. I also like violet alot but feel sad the only nickname will be vi, plus i think it may be quite popular at the moment as lot of people are asking about it.But alot of these names in the posts are in the top popular names lists and i am trying to avoid them if possible, cos her school will be full of them sadly. I like cadence, cadey for short, but my name is jade - jadey. And i feel this would clash. I also have to be careful about clashing with her older sister’s name [name]Lacey[/name], or brother [name]Peter[/name]. They are my partners children but live with us. I don’t want something like hailey, rather that has the sound or flow that is feminine , girlie and pretty , opposed to something hard or sharp sounding. I would also prefer something with 2 or more syllables as [name]Rayne[/name] is 1 syllable and the middle name two on taylor for the last name. The awkward thing is i love and appreciate alot of names, but whether i would use them for my lil baby is another thing. so i love helping the other guys with their questions and can do so with genuine affection. It is more precious to be right for your own, especially if you don’t intend to have a bunch of kids. I know tori that i don’t have to have it right now, but it is something i would like to resolve and have sorted rather than have a nameless daughter. I had a nameless sister for days and felt horrified for her. xxx
