We are team green and baby is due in January! Feeling pretty confident about boys names, but girls have been much harder for us. Our top girls names are Helena, Johanna, & Mary.
Helena pronounced HEL-e-na
Johanna pronounced yo-HAH-na
Marie & Ruth are both honor names that I’d love to use at some point, and I’ve been trying to decide which one sounds best with each of our top girl names. Mary is also an honor name (but more we just like it).
Potentially could be sister names in the future (kinda likely if we have multiple girls, because I doubt we’ll be able to agree on much anything else )
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] is stunning! I do hesitate a bit with voting for [name_u]Marie[/name_u] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] in the same sibling set, but I think it’s a ‘me’ problem and unlikely to be a real issue (especially if they honor different people!)
As another poster said, I dislike [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_u]Marie[/name_u] in the same set, as they’re essentially the same name in different languages. I get that they may honor different people for you, but I would just choose one.

[name_f]Linnea[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is kinda sorta on our list too, but I don’t really think it’s gonna be the name for this baby. I’ve loved [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] for a long time, but lately I feel unsure about it in the first name spot. Probably because I keep coming back to [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] as my favorite [name_f]Mary[/name_f] combo, no matter how much I try to think of other [name_f]Mary[/name_f] combos.
Sometimes I think it’d be easier to name all-girl triplets than to name just one girl how am I supposed to choose just one girl combo???
I told my husband recently, we have four or five girl names at the top of the list, but we probably shouldn’t wish twins on ourselves just so we can use them all and he was all “NO!”
