[name_f]Lottie[/name_f]! I love the Victorian -ie on most stand-alone nicknames, but especially this one. I would also like to vote against using [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] as the full name. As someone who also loves [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], which is such a perfect name as it is, it kind of bugs me that it is now being used as just a vehicle for [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] or [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]. If it gets ruined the way [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] has, someone is going to pay!!!

I love [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]. I think all three can be used as full names.

I voted [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] is sweet and dear… my grandmother’s name is [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. Something is holding me back from using it myself (it has been recommended to me by several berries), but I can definitely see the appeal.

I voted for Lotte. I have a friend named Lotte and she wears it wonderfully. She gets called Lottie occasionally but as a full name it would be way too cutesy, especially since it’s a nickname of a nickname.
And while I obviously can imagine a grown-up Lotte, Lotta has always been a child’s name to me.
Charlotte is nice but I don’t love it, I’ve heard it a bit too often.

[name_f]Lottie[/name_f] is sweet and vintage. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is nice too, but feels like it is becoming really common to hear in my area. I am also slightly bothered that it rhymes with a not so nice name…but it is still charming in some way.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is my favorite option, with the nn [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], but I like just [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] next best. I think [name_f]Lotte[/name_f] is great, too, and I would be happy to see it on a little European girl (it seems to work in so many nationalities!). I would avoid [name_f]Lotta[/name_f]–it reminds me of American English slang (“I wanna get a lotta food!”). I can imagine [name_f]Lotte[/name_f] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] working best in most European countries, but I do have a huge thing for just [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]. I don’t get the “harlot” thing with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], but I’m sure there a lot of people who do. I just think of the lovely [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] (and even [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u]'s [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], although I’m not sure she’s quite as lovely).
