I think [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] is sweet and spunky but I adore [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]/[name_f]Lotte[/name_f]. [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]/[name_f]Lotte[/name_f] has just a tad bit more spunk in my opinion. A little more interesting for lack of a better word.
I like [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] better since it seems more like a sweet little girl.
I adore both so much, but I have to say that I slightly prefer [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]!
I like [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] - it’s smoother and more elegant, while [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] sounds like an old lady to me. [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] also just seems more name-like, since I just hear “lots” or “lotta” when I hear [name_f]Lottie[/name_f].
I have had [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] on my short list for a while now. It’s one of my favorites! It reminds me of someone who is spunky with a big heart.
I’ve never heard [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] before. First impression is that it’s a very strange name and reminds me of lots, like parking lots. I think I prefer [name_f]Nellie[/name_f].
I much prefer [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]! [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] is so overused (for a good reason, it’s a nice nickname). I think [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] is a great alternative for [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] as a nickname to [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. The fact that it’s not well heard of, to me, is a huge plus. I can imagine a little [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] running around the playground with cute little pigtail braids (think [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] Thripp from [name_f]Matilda[/name_f])… Adorable!
[name_u]Julie[/name_u] here!
Oh, they’re both such cute names! I was a big fan of [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] a year or so ago, so I absolutely adore [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]. [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] is a classic, amiable name as well! It’s so hard to choose, but I think I like [name_f]Nellie[/name_f]. It’s a bit easier to say and it has a nice warm aura to it that I can’t explain. I believe I may have heard it from a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] carol when I was younger.
Thanks! Looks like [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] is winning.
I think both are so adorable! [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] is less common and that of course has certain appeal, but to me [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] has a warmer feel…
Both are pretty, but I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Nellie[/name_f]!
