lotus [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] and lotus [name_u]June[/name_u] work nicely.
I would avoid middles that end in an s sound like [name_u]Joyce[/name_u] because [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] ends with s and it is difficult to say.
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] and [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] work well.
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] Armelle isn’t quite my taste but it has potential. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]?
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] sounds pretty in my opinion.
[name_m]Aaron[/name_m] Spelling’s son has a daughter named [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and like ashleyjuliette said, [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] sounds nice too, paired with [name_f]Lotus[/name_f].
Too stay with that “ee” sound, why not [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]?
The lotus is such a beautiful flower with symbology that is difficult to beat. I want to like it more as a name for these facts, but the actual sound of [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] (flower and symbology aside) doesn’t appeal to me. I feel the same way about [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f].
That said, there are other well loved names whose sounds don’t appeal to me either! I say if you love it then go for it. People will probably think that you are a practicing buddhist (even those who know very little about buddhism) and if you are then great, and if you aren’t then you’ll just have to be okay with answering that and maybe getting some heat from those holier than thou types (nobody really cares what they think anyway).
I agree with the previous commenters about all your mn choices!
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] sounds very pretty. What about [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Amandine[/name_f] or [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Almondine[/name_f]?
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] seems to me what could be a very modern cool take on [name_f]Lourdes[/name_f].
It grew on me quite a lot since I joined Nameberry.
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] makes me think of Locust every time.
Sorry.
Sorry, but I don’t find [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] appealing as a first name.
I agree with the pp that it reminds me of locust as well as [name_f]Lois[/name_f] as well as the email program [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] Notes.
As a middle, I like it though.
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] isn’t my favourite flower name. I just don’t find the sound very attractive. The name is a mixed bag: it has religious significance for Buddhists and Hindus and it also has a somewhat mysterious and sensual connotation (sexual purity and emotional detachment) which could prove embarrassing. In modern times, it has a strong association with [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] software. There is also the lotus position for practitioners of yoga. From your list, I think [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] would be my choice.
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] is my #1 name.
I don’t think I can help with a mn because it seems we have different ideas about [name_f]Lotus[/name_f]. To me, [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] is not just another flower name. Others have already mentioned it’s cultural & spiritual significance. So, I would expect a mn that is just as lively, interesting, and evocative like:
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Delfina[/name_f]/[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_u]Waverly[/name_u]
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Noor[/name_f]
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Aviva[/name_f]
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f]/[name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] Azula
[name_f]Lotus[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]
