I like it. [name_u]Lou[/name_u] is a great little name, super sweet but with a bit of an edge to it.
[name_f]Philomena[/name_f] isn’t a personal favourite but I do love short, spunky names paired with longer, weightier, more formal names in the middle. It gives a great balance and flow to a combo, as well as plenty of options for the child in the future.
I like it, although for my taste I think the two names are slightly mismatched? Borrowing a couple of other names from your signature, I think [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] or [name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] would work better because the names have a more cohesive feel together. But I do like [name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] as well.
I think it really works, though [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] is not a favourite of mine.
[name_u]Lou[/name_u] Petternell - to borrow a great name I recently discovered in my family tree!
I think it’s great and goes well with [name_u]Jem[/name_u]. The only issue I see is if you are having any more children is that you could be stuck with a 3 letter name for them. Which from your list seems okay if you have a boy but could be a struggle if you have another girl. [name_m]Just[/name_m] something to consider.
[name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] works - the down to earth, simple and short [name_u]Lou[/name_u] balances the unusual and lengthy [name_f]Philomena[/name_f]. It’s a surprising combo but the sounds, the lengths and the names themselves work nicely together.
I think it could also give you the possibility of the nickname [name_f]Lumi[/name_f] if you wanted it
Thanks guys!
wittyusername103, that’s my main concern as well, but we have [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_u]Kit[/name_u], [name_m]Fox[/name_m], [name_u]Rue[/name_u] and [name_m]Sol[/name_m] for possible future boys and [name_f]Una[/name_f], [name_f]Aya[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] for possible future girls, so it’s not that bad. I doubt we will have more than 4 children…
I think [name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] is lovely and works wonderfully next to [name_u]Jem[/name_u] [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]. They’re gorgeous combos.
That is true.

Adorable. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. Pairs well with your other child as well.
I nearly named my second daughter [name_u]Lou[/name_u], but we ended up going with [name_f]Lula[/name_f] (though she goes by [name_f]Lu[/name_f] about 90% of the time). The L-O-U spelling is so sweet and whimsical.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it [name_u]Lou[/name_u] was my favourite from your list and I think it pairs perfectly with [name_u]Jem[/name_u].
