Back for more… [name]Agatha[/name] is still my favorite, but we’re entertaining other ideas. Nothing (other than [name]Agatha[/name], for me) at the moment seem right for our daughter. Votes? Other suggestions? It seems as though we’ve crossed so many classics off the list already that there’s no use listing them. Middle name will most likely be [name]Elizabeth[/name].
[name]Iris[/name] is my favorite, followed by [name]Heloise[/name]. As great as they are, I’m not sure that [name]Louisa[/name] and [name]Agatha[/name] flow well with [name]Elizabeth[/name].
[name]Agatha[/name]'s my favorite, too. I love [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. A little [name]Agatha[/name] has recently come into my life, and I’m quite smitten with the name lately! I also really love [name]Iris[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name], though. [name]Agatha[/name] happens to be the only one I really like with [name]Elizabeth[/name], too–[name]Iris[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] both feel a bit boring for me (although I love them in general!).
1 [name]Louisa[/name] - my fave on your list but it’s not the best with mn [name]Elizabeth[/name].
2 [name]Agatha[/name] - Since this name is the only one with no “s”, I think it sounds the best with [name]Elizabeth[/name] in the middle. A great literary connection. If you love it, I would encourage you to go for it!
3 [name]Iris[/name] - the “s” in [name]Iris[/name] runs into the “E” in [name]Elizabeth[/name] but it’s a lovely flower name.
4 [name]Heloise[/name] - I’m not a fan of this name. [name]Eloise[/name] is fine but adding an “H” turns it into “hell”. [name]Heloise[/name] reminds me of the two people: the tragic lover of [name]Abelard[/name] and the modern-day advice columnist.
I love [name]Iris[/name]! Definitely my favorite on the list, but I’d have to say that [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] flows better. [name]Both[/name] of those would be an excellent choice. [name]Louisa[/name] is OK, but in my opinion, it’s too dated and doesn’t flow with [name]Elizabeth[/name] as well as I’d like. I don’t like [name]Heloise[/name] at all; [name]Eloise[/name] would be nice if the middle name wasn’t [name]Elizabeth[/name], but [name]Heloise[/name] just doesn’t work for me. Good luck!
I’d go with [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. I think it flows the best out of all the possible first names you chose. And if it feels right, then go with it!
I love [name]Louisa[/name] and [name]Iris[/name]! While the flow with [name]Elizabeth[/name] isn’t great, it is good enough if you love those names. However, your favorite [name]Agatha[/name] sounds wonderful with [name]Elizabeth[/name]. I’m personally not a fan of [name]Heloise[/name]. I prefer [name]Eloise[/name], but it doesn’t sound right with [name]Elizabeth[/name].
I love all the names you’ve listed- I think we have a very similar style. Off of your list, I think that [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] sounds best, but I do have a soft spot for [name]Louisa[/name].
A few suggestions based off your list:

[name]Hope[/name] you find a name you love! Best of luck!
Thanks, everyone! I will always love [name]Agatha[/name], but after a lengthy discussion with my husband last night [name]Louisa[/name] is shaping up to be our front runner. While the flow isn’t ideal, [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] is okay with us both (though I completely agree, [name]Iris[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] are stunners).
Now [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name] is on my mind. What do you all think? Too “[name]Little[/name] Women?” I love the sweet vintage charm of it. I know a smush would be inevitable if people say her full name quickly, ie Loubet, Ouisabeth, etc., but how often do we all use full names in daily life anyway? So I guess I’m asking, does [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name] a) sound better to your ears than [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], and b) an okay choice, or is it setting ourselves up for endless smushing frustrastions - or mistakes for assuming that [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name] is one first name a la [name]Mary[/name] [name]Beth[/name]? I actually don’t mind them much; they turn out to be kind of cute nicknames. But in general we would be using [name]Louisa[/name] in full.
I love [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Beth[/name] and the flow is better than [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. It was one of my considerations as a mn but it doesn’t have as close of family significance for me. I don’t think the smoosh name would be a problem as mns aren’t used frequently. However, it does sound great that you could use both sometimes. I like that we sometimes call our daughter by her full name, not only when she is in trouble.
Thanks, [name]Katie[/name]! I love the picks on your list [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] and [name]Miriam[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Charles[/name] is wonderful.
