Louisa, Lorelei, or Lavinia?

I love all of these L names even though they are different styles. I think [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] (my longtime favorite) is the best fit for our other kids’ names–[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_u]Theo[/name_u]). However I was curious what other opinions/perceptions of these names are? To me [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] reads Classic [name_f]Americana[/name_f], similar to siblings [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], whereas [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] seem a bit more exotic…
Other name girl crushes are: [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]

Thoughts, opinions? Thanks!

[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] is such a classy and underused beautiful name. [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is classic but I find it to be a little boring, and [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] just doesn’t sound nice to me.

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f], it’s beautiful!

[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] does feel a tad exotic, but [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] has a similar feel to [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] maybe even a bit more traditional.
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] are definitely on the same track though.

I can see any of them working fine though. None are so much more unusual that they feel strange together.

strikes me as a perfect name: strong, feminine, old-fashioned (though not odd), with pleasant nicknames and that z sound I love.

[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] sounds like a stripper.

[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] is a Downton [name_u]Abbey[/name_u] name. While it is a good name, I am not so keen on the “v” sound in it.

I agree that [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] seems a bit out there next to your childrens names. I think [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] fits best of the three, though it seems a bit ordinary next to [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]. With [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] I can’t get past the ‘Lav’ (lav/lavvy = short for lavatory).
My favourite is [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. I love the name and to me it seems more in style with [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m].
What about [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilith[/name_f], [name_f]Liesel[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] or [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]?

I hadn’t thought of [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] as plain next to [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], but I can see that a little bit. The full name would be [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. I do like [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] a lot, but I would worry about the nicknames, “Lav, Lavvy, etc.” Whereas [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] has great nickname options in my opinion. I agree that [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] is kind of an outlier for us in terms of sounds. I wish I could get my husband on board with [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]; he isn’t a fan unfortunately. Maybe in time I can wear him down.

Same with me. That’s why [name_f]Livinia[/name_f] is on my list and not Lav!

I think [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] is the best from your list hands down. I think it actually goes quite well with [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]! [name_m]Both[/name_m] have a unique but slightly old fashioned kind of feel ([name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] reminds me of The [name_m]Gilmore[/name_m] Girls show).
I think [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is definitely too plain next to your other kids names and [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] sounds like a trashy name to me but I’m not sure why.

[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] is very beautiful and my favorite of the three.

It would be between [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] for me. I’m not a fan of [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] at all. I actually think [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] would make really cute sister names.

Ooh I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] your children’s names! If my husband was a little more compliant (haha), I could see us having a little [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] in the future. I’ve been trying to sell [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] to him for years and it’s just not working!
I like all three of the names you’ve listed! [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] is my least favourite, as I’ve recently been watching the Walking Dead and it has an incredibly annoying character called [name_f]Lori[/name_f]! The nn [name_f]Lori[/name_f] just seems dated and a bit harsh, so if there’s any chance of it being shortened I’d nix [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f].
I’m so indecisive about [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f]! Some days I absolutely love it, and other days I worry about the potential “Lav” and “[name_u]Vinnie[/name_u]” nicknames. I like the suggestion of [name_f]Livinia[/name_f]!
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is my favourite. I see it as charming, old-fashioned, traditional but still a bit unusual - a perfect match with your other children!

I absolutely, entirely [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] the name [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. It’s the perfect choice. It compliments your other children’s names wonderfully as well.

I love all three! But with your kids’ names [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is my favorite followed by [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f].

I love all three but [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] is quite different in feeling from you other children’s names. [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] is a great match up with [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] moreso than [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] but either of the two would be nice. If you’re worry about nicknames you could discourage the practice. I have a niece named [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and a cousin [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] and neither go by any other name at their and their mother’s insistence.

You’ve got it :).

[name_f]Henrietta[/name_f], [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] are not in the same (“vintage chic”) category as [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

I love all three of these names. I think I like [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] best with your sibset. [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] would work well too. [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] feels a bit too spunky with [name_f]Adeline[/name_f].

[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] are the better names. Maybe once the baby’s born you will see if she’s more of a [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] or [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f]. Liviana is beautiful too and [name_f]Liv[/name_f] works as a nickname. Not sure what nicknames you will get with [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f].

Opps I meant [name_f]Livinia[/name_f] not Liviana

Of your list, I like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] best.

But what about [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]?! I like that even better, and I think it goes well with your other children’s names.
