Louisa or Josephine?

We are down to two option for a little baby girl. [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. Which one do you prefer?
Surname is [name_m]Knight[/name_m].

Thank you.

I prefer [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], but I don’t think you can go wrong. [name_m]Both[/name_m] well work with last name and other kids’ names.

[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] gets my vote. Sounds the best with her siblings and your surname. Either name is beautiful.

I love them both (but then, I grew up as a huge fan of [name_m]Little[/name_m] Women, so…). I like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] a little better with your surname, because most people would call her “[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_m]Knight[/name_m]” and the N’s can run together: Josephinite. That’s only if I’m looking for a quibble with one of the names, though. They’re both perfect with the sibling names.

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] are both some of my favorite names. I think [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] would flow better with [name_m]Knight[/name_m], though. The end of [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] kind of goes together with the n sound in [name_m]Knight[/name_m]. That, and her initials would be JK (just kidding).

[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]! It’s dainty and feminine, elegant and regal. I’ve never loved [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], sorry. But [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] as FN/MN (or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]) would be pretty! I agree, both go wonderfully with your sibset. I love all your children’s names, especially [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]! (And I have no idea how you manage six- soon to be seven- kids, I don’t know anyone these days who has that many!)

I vote [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] but I don’t like how it sounds with [name_m]Knight[/name_m]. The n sounds run together.

I love both of these names! I can see how you are having difficulty choosing. I would choose [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] if you won’t use a nn. It is so feminine, prim and proper. If you plan to use a nn I personally would choose [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and use the cute [name_u]Josie[/name_u] for a nn. Good luck!

I prefer [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] would be quite lovely.

[name_m]Both[/name_m] are beautiful names and sound great, especially with the (lovely, if I may add) names of your other children, but I have a slight preference for [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. And I agree with the suggestion of [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] : it would be lovely !

[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_m]Knight[/name_m] sounds amazing and just perfect. Very lady-like and all grown up. Sounds as if you just plucked it from a Brith time period film.

You really do have two great options! I slightly prefer [name_f]Louisa[/name_f].

PS I’ll add why - the ending of [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] runs into the beginning of [name_m]Knight[/name_m] a little bit. But [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_m]Knight[/name_m] is still a solid name!

Thank you everyone! We have decided to go with [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], with [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] as a very solid back-up name. Now we just have to figure out what to name a boy, but we are getting there!

I prefer [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], but both names are fantastic! They match your other children’s names and your surname beautifully.

You can’t go wrong with either… But [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_m]Knight[/name_m] flows better, imo.

[name_m]Both[/name_m] are lovely names and would be wonderful choices for your family (love your naming style). I do think [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] flows better with your surname.
