I love love love [name_f]Ada[/name_f]!!

[name_f]Ada[/name_f] doesn’t feel like a nickname to me. I do love [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], but I don’t think you should use it if you don’t love it and would always call her [name_f]Ada[/name_f]. [name_f]Ada[/name_f] is a strong name in its own right.

Also, [name_f]Louise[/name_f] feels like the more dated name to me.

I prefer [name_f]Louise[/name_f]! However, [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] flows better than [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] which sounds quite choppy to me. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]?

I don’t like how [name_f]Ada[/name_f] sounds out loud. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ada[/name_f]? I don’t think [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is dated, and it would give you a long form for the name. Or [name_u]Addison[/name_u]? Or even [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]?

To me, [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] isn’t dated. It’s a classic [name_m]French[/name_m] babe in my mind, with some excellent nn options including [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. But of the two, I would probably choose [name_f]Ada[/name_f] unless you’d go for [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. As pp said, [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] flows better, is fresh but not hip, and combines [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Ada[/name_f]!

As names, I definitely prefer [name_f]Louise[/name_f] to [name_f]Ada[/name_f]. [name_f]Ada[/name_f] feels like it blends in with a lot of the shorter, ending-in-a names that are popular right now like [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Mila[/name_f], or even [name_f]Addie[/name_f]. [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is more timeless and strong sounding, which I like in a girl’s name more than frills.

But as a pp said, I think [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is a little choppy and I would suggest [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u].

[name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] makes me think of a girl who is resilient and wise. The type of girl who would grow up to be a doctor or a leader of some sort. Someone who others look to for guidance, and who doesn’t crack under pressure. She loves reading and being outdoors both.

I like [name_f]Louise[/name_f] better than [name_f]Ada[/name_f] as a fn, but I agree with the above posters that [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] flows and sounds better. So [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is the better combo. It depends on how important the mn is to you. [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_u]Joan[/name_u] flow better.
