I’m trying to decide between [name_f]Louise[/name_f] or [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] for a baby girl. Middle name will probably be [name_f]Frances[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Louise[/name_f]'s edginess. But [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] feels so classic. Please help!
[name_m]How[/name_m] many syllables is the last name? I think that would be the deciding factor for me. I think both names are beautiful and could work with [name_f]Frances[/name_f] nicely, so it’s probably just going to come down to how the name sounds as a whole. Have you considered [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], as well? Still has that sound, with a little of the edge that [name_f]Louise[/name_f] has, but is pretty classic like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. Although all three names feel classic to me! Beautiful choices.
I like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f]! I feel like the flow is fantastic and both names have a classic sound. [name_f]Louise[/name_f] does have an edge and I’d like to see it used these days, especially since my only real association is my great-aunt [name_f]Louise[/name_f]…no one young, lol. I think [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] has just as much of an edge, though, and it has a fresh sound compared to most names on the playground honestly, either one would be a winner, so if it really [name_f]Louise[/name_f] that you adore, I don’t think you could go wrong choosing it!
I think that [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is pretty classic, more so than [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. I agree with [name_f]Katelyn[/name_f], if your last name is also 2 syllables - I’d choose [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] to avoid repetativness.
Both go nicely with [name_f]Frances[/name_f].
My last name is three syllables.
I slightly prefer [name_f]Louise[/name_f] but [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] sounds better than [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f].
I find [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] much prettier. I like [name_f]Louise[/name_f] also, but I prefer [name_f]Louisa[/name_f].
I like both.
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is to me old-fashioned, strong, and classic.
[name_f]Louise[/name_f] is elegant.
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] or [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f]? Both are fine.
Personally, I’d rather be named [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and have the option to go by [name_f]Louise[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Louise[/name_f], but prefer [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], and i think the flow of [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] is great!
I really love [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f]!
I prefer the old fashioned feeling of [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. [name_f]Louise[/name_f] just feels sort of mid-century to me still.
I absolutely love the spunk that [name_f]Louise[/name_f] has. I do prefer [name_f]Louise[/name_f], and I think [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] sounds very pretty.
I prefer [name_f]Louise[/name_f] but with [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] sounds way better.
