I am loving the name [name]Louise[/name] right now for baby due in [name]March[/name]. It is a family name on both sides of the family (my great-grandma went by [name]Lou[/name], and Hubby’s sister is [name]Katie[/name]-[name]Louise[/name]). The trouble comes with the middle name. It turns out [name]Louise[/name] is hard to match up. Flow-wise she fits better in the middle. However, I am firm about wanting to name her what we’re going to call her so that rules out putting it in the middle or changing it to [name]Louisa[/name] or [name]Eloise[/name] (which I know other people prefer, but I don’t).
Sooo… The name is perfect in every way other than “flow” it is [name]Louise[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] our last name sounds like [name]Gordon[/name]. Is the flow THAT clunky? Or is it passable?
It’s passable. Actually, I don’t think the flow is that bad at all. If [name]Louise[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] is perfect for you, by all means use it! It’s a lovely name.
All of my names are two syllables so it’s no big deal. [name]Louise[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Gordon[/name] sounds fine. It may be more clunky but I think it works well. I do like the way the “p” in [name]Daphne[/name] breaks up the straight line when the names are written out. [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] would be gorgeous but if you like [name]Louise[/name] better than that’s the one to choose!
I think it’s beautiful! I adore [name]Louise[/name], and [name]Daphne[/name] is gorgeous too. [name]Louise[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Gordon[/name] sounds good to me!
I think that [name]Louise[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] sounds wonderful. To me, [name]Louise[/name] is a very soft name and [name]Daphne[/name] has a bit of an edge to it, so I think they pair really well together.
[name]Louise[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] with your surname is a combo I’d personally pass on. However, it’s not awful.
I also like the idea of [name]Louise[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name], or maybe you’d like [name]Louise[/name] [name]Laurel[/name]? [name]Daphne[/name] means [name]Laurel[/name].
I think it’s great. Sure other middle names might flow a little better but how often really do you say the whole thing anyway? And after saying it a bunch you won’t be able to imagine it differently. I also prefer [name]Louise[/name] over its variations but I’m biased as it’s my middle name and my daughter’s middle name. I have sometimes wished it was her first. I remember when I was considering it for the first name spot I could not for the life of me find a middle to go with it so I know what you mean! [name]Louise[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] is beautiful.
