Love Leap: Romantic Horror/Suspense

In my series Love Leap, Quinn Carpenter travels to different worlds based around romance subgenres. As a romance fan, he gets meta and spends each story examining tropes. For the Horror/Suspense category, I have chosen (my favorite) slashers!
I was thinking of a Romeo & Juliet type deal, with the killer coming back in the end. But with the detached narrative that these books will be approached with, I wonder whether I should approach a more kitschy idea, and save the Star-Crossed Lovers for another time. Which do you like?

  • Romeo & Juliet; always suspect the love interest
  • In 1985, a serial killer in an animal suit runs rampant in a mall
  • Two serial killers have a meet cute

I love the [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] & [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] idea soooo much but it feels like the safer option when you could have two sériela killers have a meet cute. So that’s how I informed my vote. But any of those sound super fun!
