I would pronounce every spelling on this poll differently.
I agree with [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite name there id Marren.
I love Murron- Braveheart is a wonderful movie, and the character of Murron was lovely (as was her name), if very sad. I love that you are using this name as an honorific too. Murron is my favourite spelling, but I agree with the other posters: I say the names differently.
I think Murron is the best spelling if you are after the prn used in Braveheart.
Mauren: Rhyming with [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] (moh-ren), or a bit like [name_f]Maura[/name_f] (more-ren)
Marryn / Maryn: Like [name_f]Marin[/name_f] (ma-rin)
Marren: ma-ren.
[name_u]Marron[/name_u]: I wouldn’t use this, it is a type of edible shellfish. A lobster / crayfish like creature, that is very popular in restaurants.
Murryn: muh-rin, a bit like [name_u]Murray[/name_u].
I’m a bit confused as to what pronunciation you’re explaining, so I apologise for that…I would also pronounce several of these names on the poll differently…
Murron - muh-rehn
Mauren - more-rehn
Marryn/Maryn/Marren/[name_u]Marron[/name_u] - ma-rehn
Murryn - mur-ehn
I’m just trying to find an easy pronouncing of Murron if we used the spelling(which we love) but people. i know i shouldn’t worry, but i have a hard name to some, but after i pronounce it they love it. should we just keep Murron?
[name_f]My[/name_f] daughters middle name if [name_f]Marin[/name_f] pronounced muh-rin like [name_f]Marin[/name_f] county in [name_u]California[/name_u]. Nobody has mistaken it for mar-in.
I think [name_u]Mirren[/name_u] is better
