Loyal as a middle name

I have a big thing for loyalty, and I really love the sound of the word [name_m]Loyal[/name_m] as well.

I’m not keen on it as a first name, and I’m not sure if it would work on a girl.

Perhaps as a middle name? What sort of first name would you pair with it?

[name_f]Laurel[/name_f], you return to us!

I adore virtue names on boys, especially in the middle paired with a solid classic-ish name in the first name spot. Something like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Loyal[/name_m] or [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_m]Loyal[/name_m] was my first thought. I actually quite like the idea of [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Loyal[/name_m].

ETA: I think a better description of the first name would be something familiar, longer and perhaps a bit heavy, and that ends in a strong consonant sound.

I think it would work well as a middle I would choose a more traditional boys name to go with loyal, like…

[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_m]William[/name_m]
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]

I quite like it, especially for a middle. I think you should pair it with something solid and serious.
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_m]Loyal[/name_m]
Cassias [name_m]Loyal[/name_m]
[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] [name_m]Loyal[/name_m]
[name_m]Gregory[/name_m] [name_m]Loyal[/name_m]
[name_m]Benedict[/name_m] [name_m]Loyal[/name_m]
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_m]Loyal[/name_m]
[name_m]Roderick[/name_m] [name_m]Loyal[/name_m]

I think [name_m]Loyal[/name_m] would make a wonderful middle name. I absolutely love the suggestion of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Loyal[/name_m]. I like the flow and sound of a 3 or more syllable first name with [name_m]Loyal[/name_m].

I’m horrible at suggesting names, but I do think that [name_m]Loyal[/name_m] would be an amazing middle name. I think it would sound better with a longer, strong, and more common first name.
