I prefer [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], of these two choices. In addition to just liking both names and liking them paired together, I also like the flow pattern of the names: two syllables followed by three. With [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Xander[/name_m], both names contain two syllables, which just sounds choppy to me. In addition, [name_m]Xander[/name_m] doesn’t quite feel like a whole name to me. I know it is. I know several guys by this name. I know it is valid. However, it just feels nicknamey. Now…something like [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] would ‘feel’ better.
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is lovely. Both masculine, timeless names! [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Xander[/name_m] does not flow well [name_f]IMO[/name_f], and I have never really cared for [name_m]Xander[/name_m]–it is more of a nickname than a full name, and it doesn’t fit with the more classic [name_u]Luca[/name_u].
I also like the previous suggestion of [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. Perhaps consider [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], or [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] as well?
