I’ve just found out I’m having a boy. I already have a [name_u]Leo[/name_u] [name_m]Alastair[/name_m], but really like the L names. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is one of my favourite, but does it sound too feminine? [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] is alright but not my favourite. Other thing is we’re looking to have the middle name [name_u]James[/name_u], as it’s my grandfathers name. I have Greek heritage, so not sure how to bring that into a first name, without sounding too out there. Would [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] sound ok with a [name_u]Leo[/name_u]? Are the L’s for two boys ok? What do you think? Thanks
I’m a sucker for certain a ending boy names, and Luca/Luka’s one of them! [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] is okay, but [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is light, playful, soft, and caring. In general a really sweet, handsome, and appealing name. Absolutely not too feminine (not a problem if it is imo), and [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is lovely.
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is stunning! I think it complements [name_u]Leo[/name_u] [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] nicely and don’t find them too similar at all.
I think Luca James is lovely with Leo! I don’t think anyone would assume that Luca is a girls’ name.

I definitely prefer [name_u]Luca[/name_u] over [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]. Especially with the middle [name_u]James[/name_u], because [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] both end with the S sound, but [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] ties the A sounds together perfectly and just flows really well in my opinion.
I completely agree with @Myosotis. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is fabulous and gives me exactly the same energy as [name_u]Leo[/name_u] — light, bright and dynamic. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is a great name.
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is stunning.
Typically my feedback is to use [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] nn [name_u]Luca[/name_u] so you get the best of both - but it really sounds like you don’t love [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] and the repeat ending S makes [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] flow together.
I’m a sucker for alliteration so I don’t see a problem with Lucas/ [name_u]Luca[/name_u] and [name_u]Leo[/name_u]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] would be my choice of the two. I’m not a huge fan of either. (It’s my ex husbands name lol)
I also love
[name_u]Lennox[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Lowell[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Liam[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Laken[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] sounds exclusively masculine to me. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is cute and the name sounds perfect for your family.
[name_u]Leo[/name_u] and [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is fine…. I think I feel about like [name_u]Luca[/name_u] as you do for Lucas… but if you love [name_u]Luca[/name_u] it’s a great option for a brother for Leo; I just like the classic [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] much more. [name_u]Leo[/name_u] and [name_u]Luca[/name_u] sounds nice, although I’d prefer something more exciting (like Alasdair!) for a middle. Other L names if you’re looking for more ideas:
[name_u]Leo[/name_u] and [name_m]Linus[/name_m]
[name_u]Leo[/name_u] and [name_m]Lorcan[/name_m]
[name_u]Leo[/name_u] and [name_u]London[/name_u]
[name_u]Leo[/name_u] and [name_u]Linden[/name_u]
[name_u]Leo[/name_u] and [name_m]Langdon[/name_m]
[name_u]Leo[/name_u] and [name_m]Laszlo[/name_m]
