I prefer [name_m]Luke[/name_m].
I like it’s simplicity and that it’s a Bible name.
I like it’s meaning and that it’s very straightforward in terms of spelling.
I do like [name_m]Rufus[/name_m], [name_m]Phineas[/name_m], [name_m]Darius[/name_m], [name_m]Amos[/name_m], [name_m]Barnabas[/name_m], [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m], [name_u]Elias[/name_u], [name_u]Gus[/name_u], [name_m]Jonas[/name_m], etc; but for some reason [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] is a bit off putting to me…maybe it’s the “cus” sound.
I chose [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] as it feels a little less popular to me. I also love [name_u]Luca[/name_u].
I’ve always disliked the name [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] because it remindes me of the word mucus. I love [name_m]Luke[/name_m] though. It’s such a short, strong, no-frills, classic name. Like the previous poster, I also love the name [name_u]Luca[/name_u] (almost as much as [name_m]Luke[/name_m], in fact).
I like [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]/[name_m]Lukas[/name_m] with the nn [name_m]Luke[/name_m]. It’s the best of both worlds, and I lovelovelove the international [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]/[name_m]Lukas[/name_m]! It’s a fantastic name, and deserves its current popularity!
Thanks everyone
