I have a friend called [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] and I’ve always thought it was rather beautiful. Very classy and elegant, and has the bonus of being unusual but very recognisable!

For nicknames there’s obviously [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], but also perhaps [name_f]Lulu[/name_f], [name_f]Cindy[/name_f] and [name_u]Indie[/name_u].

I love [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] (have done ever since I read [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and Lucinda).

There’s a YouTube channel Makaton With [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] - she’s an adorable child! It’s a beautiful name with this added lovely association for me. It doesn’t feel dated, as [name_f]Linda[/name_f] does. It has the ever popular and elegant [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] in it to prevent that, perhaps.
Nicknames: [name_u]Lou[/name_u], [name_f]Cinder[/name_f], Cinders, Inda, [name_u]Luce[/name_u].

I love [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f]! It feels cool and a little funky! I love that it’s both sweet and substantial. I think it does feel a little retro, but I think its due for a comeback and feels like a fresh choice!

Thanks for the lovely replies! I have a daughter called [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] so I just think it would be a beautiful pairing for a potential sister x

I have a somewhat negative association with [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] but love [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] and ‘Lucy’ style names in general.
