I know both names are steadily increasing in popularity, but putting that aside for the moment. Which name works best with the last name Tys0n?
Sisers are [name]Clare[/name] and [name]Katharine[/name]. [name]Katharine[/name] goes by her full name some but also by [name]Kate[/name]/[name]Kat[/name]. I’ve tried to discourage [name]Katie[/name]. Brothers are [name]Paul[/name], [name]Mark[/name], and [name]James[/name]. [name]Andrew[/name] is the serious front-runner if our next pregnancy is a boy.
[name]Lucy[/name] seems a little sweeter but [name]Stella[/name] seems like it might age better. I like that [name]Stella[/name] [name]Maris[/name] refers to [name]Mary[/name].
I prefer [name]Stella[/name] and I feel like the y in [name]Lucy[/name] clashes with the one in your ln. [name]Stella[/name] is more “hip” right now, though, while [name]Lucy[/name] is more classic.
That’s actually how [name]Stella[/name] made it on the list. My absolute all time favorite name is [name]Theresa[/name] nn [name]Tess[/name] but I just don’t think we’ll ever pull the trigger on [name]Tess[/name] [name]Tyson[/name], but it got me thinking that if the “s” and the “t” were in a different order and in the beginning of the name those repeating sounds would work.
Although I like both names, I think [name]Stella[/name] works well with your last name. I agree that the Y in [name]Lucy[/name] clashes with the Y in your LN. [name]Both[/name] names are beautiful, but [name]Stella[/name] just sounds better to me.
Good luck!
I will vote [name]Stella[/name] here simply because you dislike certain nicknames and [name]Lucy[/name] will be [name]Lou[/name] or [name]Lulu[/name]. I don’t think you’d love that to be honest.
I think [name]Stella[/name] works better overall with the sibset as well. And I do love how it sounds better with the last name.
I really like them both, so it’s a tough choice:) With your sibset I prefer [name]Lucy[/name], but with your lastname I prefer [name]Stella[/name]. My vote goes to [name]Stella[/name]
Okay so do you mean the “y” clashes in terms of sound or visually? If it’s just a visual thing I guess [name]Lucie[/name] would be an option but I think it would be quite odd to have chosen the English spelling for [name]Clare[/name] and then the French spelling for [name]Lucie[/name], but I’m sure stranger things have happened.
I’m quite happy to see a consensus of opinions as I was quite torn. DH initially felt a little more drawn to [name]Lucy[/name] but [name]Stella[/name] is growing on him. Hopefully it will help me let go of [name]Theresa[/name].
I think I like [name]Lucy[/name] better, I think that [name]Stella[/name] [name]Tyson[/name] sounds a bit harsh when you compare it to [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Tyson[/name].
I also think that [name]Stella[/name] doesn’t fit with the names of your other children, but it is a lovely name!
Good luck, hope you get your baby number 6!
