I met a cute Ruby today and now I’m confused Last name is Van Cleve. Son’s name is Milo Alfred. I love milo and Lucy together and also love it with our last name. Milo and Ruby are cute too.
Also if Lucy, what middle name for do you like best:
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] are wonderful names!
Today, my vote goes to [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. Sweet, melodic, beautiful and timeless! [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is so adorable and bright! [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is a lovely combination too. Lucy’s delicacy and Magnolia’s powerful sound create a very well balanced name. [name_u]Milo[/name_u] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are amazing names for siblings.
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is a gorgeous name too! Another beautiful classic name. I understand why you’re having a hard time deciding. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] sounds great for Milo’s sister and the middle names you listed also flow well with [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. The combos [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] are very colorful and fun! However, to avoid two word names, I would keep the first name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] or try to find other middle name.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] feels refreshing! Despite the popularity charts, I feel that [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is mentioned and used more frequently than [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] these days. Perhaps, I have this idea because [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is considered and chosen as a middle name, sometimes. That doesn’t happen to [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as much, I think. That may also vary depending on where you live.
Either way, both names are stunning and your little girl will have an amazing name!
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] would both be great. You can’t go wrong with either.
I do find [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_u]Van[/name_u] [name_m]Cleve[/name_m] to be very hard to say. The repeating Cle- sounds are throwing me off.
I’d let it set with you a little longer if you love [name_u]Milo[/name_u] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] together. I’d go [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] but that’s me! [name_u]Milo[/name_u] & [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are adorable together but so are [name_u]Milo[/name_u] & [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]!
If [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], I would probably lean [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] for matching but [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] for sound!
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is my fave, but I also love [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]! Both are so so sweet—and similar! (Fun fact: my childhood dog was a [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], and she always responded when my cousins and I called her “Lucy,” since the sounds are that similar. )
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is divine. Those names are birds of a feather together. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] or [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Marilla[/name_f], maybe, for a similar feel!? So swoon worthy.
I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] - strong but sweet, literary and lovely
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is gorgeous! (so is [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] but [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] has the edge)
[name_m]Ah[/name_m], I never thought of it that way with the CLE. I love the way [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] sounds together, but you’re right about it with [name_u]Van[/name_u] [name_m]Cleve[/name_m]. I love the other suggestions. I was also thinking [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f] to honor my mother
I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] better, specially [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. As a suggestion I’d be in love with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_u]Van[/name_u] [name_m]Cleve[/name_m].
Being the same syllables abs both Y endings, they’re very similar patterns, more if you want more of the bookish and sweet [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] or the rambunctious and fun [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]? I prefer the name [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] but I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] flows marginally better with your last name.
As for middles, how about [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] as a nod to both [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Adele[/name_f], and a nice tradition (to change the name slightly)? After a Y ending, I’d normally say to go for a consonant but, to me, honouring someone is more important than “perfect” flow. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] would be very pretty!
I do like that combo a lot but I’d prefer it to be the exact name of the family member, especially because my son’s middle is my father’s name. I agree that honoring someone > finding the perfect flow
