hello dear berries, and happy new year

as most of you know, i’m in sort of a renaissance of my name style, so lately i’ve been scouring lists and making a note of names that give me butterflies. a few of these names are luella, winifred, priscilla, and evangeline, along with my sweet magnolia.

i’m wondering what you all would suggest for me based on these darling girls. if it helps, i’ve found that names related to folk and country music, such as joni, loretta, stevie, and odetta, and southern names related to literature, like lula, calpurnia, and willa are often right up my alley!

and finally, if you’re still with me, i love to leave you all a bonus question. if you had three little girls and they had to be luella, winifred, and priscilla, what would their middle names and/or nicknames be?

Ooh also I chose [name_f]Alafair[/name_f] because it felt like with the other two first names having multiple Ls, [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] needed a middle with an L to balance out the set, if that helps

i adore vintage girl names, they’ve always been so adorable and feminine, yet strong and spunky! you posted this awhile ago, but my suggestions would have to be:

and as for middle names, i usually go for one syllable, especially if the first has lots of nicknames
luella lois - i usually dislike double letters, but i think it can work with these as the names are different enough. i’d call her lulu or ellie.
winifred june - if i had a baby girl born in the summer i’d definitley name her this! it’s so cute yet spirited. either teddy or winnie june for a longer nickname-y vibe
priscilla grace - it’s giving rich kids vibes, but in the elegant way. like the little girl wearing ribbons and lace, who picks wildflowers and sings little songs . i’d call her pippa, issy, or lily!
