My OH and I both like [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] but we can’t decide! I prefer [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] but he prefers [name_m]Luke[/name_m].
For MN it’ll either be [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_m]Clive[/name_m] or [name_u]James[/name_u] (these are relatives we’d like to honour).
What are your thoughts on [name_m]Luke[/name_m] or [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]? Thank you 
What a great dilemma to have. Two names that are both fantastic that you both like! [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] are both great. [name_m]Luke[/name_m] is classic, biblical, with some great namesakes (Skywalker!). [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] feels a bit fresher though, with it’s hip -as ending. Those roman endings are very in right now. So while I think I like [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] slightly more, even though it feels fresher now, it may feel more dated later if it follows a trend. That said, they’ve both been trending up and very popular for years now, so I don’t think it’s really much of a concern. Either is great, I might pull slightly more for [name_m]Luke[/name_m] in the end given it’s classic roots.
I love them both : ) You could always go [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] NN [name_m]Luke[/name_m], too. They both have a “cool” sound, and are both good solid names. My vote goes to just [name_m]Luke[/name_m], because [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] has more teasing potential, i.e. mucus (not that that’s a big concern, but it does tip the scales a wee bit).
If it were me, I’d give him the name [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] and call him [name_m]Luke[/name_m]; that way the option of [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] is also there.

We are having the same issue lol! I love [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], and hubby love [name_m]Luke[/name_m]. Our solution was [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] nn [name_m]Luke[/name_m]! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] that helps!
I have a brother called [name_m]Luke[/name_m] so I’m a bit biased I do like [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] too though. If you chose [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] would you end up calling him [name_m]Luke[/name_m] most of the time? If so I’d just pick [name_m]Luke[/name_m]. If not, then go with [name_m]Lucas[/name_m].
