[name_m]Hi[/name_m] guys.
I still need some help with girl names!
This would be the little sister to [name_f]Indi[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f], and our surname is two syllable – rhymes with ‘lardner’.
We have a bit of a dilemma with [name_u]Piper[/name_u], we both love it but feel its too same same… I.e. [name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_m]Lardner[/name_m]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f] is still one of my favorites, but I need to get the hubby on board. He likens it to ‘Looney’ which is not ideal. [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]…
I’m open to any suggestions you may have, so please throw any other names you might have at me!!
Thanks again.
You guys are such a great help! ![]()
I have the same problem with my last name ending in “er” – took some very much loved first names out of the equation, though I wrestled with it for awhile. In the end it just didn’t work for me, but if it’s a name you love I think it’s worth consideration. There is also [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]? [name_f]Indi[/name_f] and [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] make a cute cute sibset.
[name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f], though very cute, is a bit too word oriented and thematic for me though it does sound nice. [name_f]Luna[/name_f] is on my short list so I love that one.
[name_f]Indi[/name_f] & [name_f]Sula[/name_f]
[name_f]Indi[/name_f] & [name_f]Amira[/name_f] / [name_f]Mira[/name_f]
[name_f]Indi[/name_f] & [name_f]Luella[/name_f]
[name_f]Indi[/name_f] & [name_u]Patrice[/name_u] – puh-trees
[name_f]Indi[/name_f] & [name_f]Maris[/name_f]
[name_f]Indi[/name_f] & [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Indi[/name_f] & [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
[name_f]Indi[/name_f] & [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Indi[/name_f] & [name_f]Etta[/name_f]
[name_f]Indi[/name_f] & [name_u]Dagny[/name_u]
[name_f]Indi[/name_f] & [name_f]Eve[/name_f] / [name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Indi[/name_f] & [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] is on my list.
I feel like it’s a name a wide variety of people love. I am more into classic yet underused names but I just love [name_u]Piper[/name_u]. I know people who love the standard [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]… but also love [name_u]Piper[/name_u]. And then people who love more trendy or unusual names love it too. It’s very whimsical and sweet, but it does surprisingly age well. I know an adult [name_u]Piper[/name_u] in her 30’s and it fits her very well. I totally understand how you feel about it clashing with your last name. I have several names I love that clash with my last name. It’s a real bummer.
I like [name_f]Luna[/name_f]! I’ve learned though, if your husband is stuck on something like “looney,” it may be hard to get him off it. I was in love with [name_f]Vada[/name_f] forever, but my husband just kept saying, “Darth [name_f]Vada[/name_f]” and that was it.
I like [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. It fits very well with [name_f]Indi[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]. If he won’t go for it, have you considered [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]? [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] would be pretty. Also, I don’t know if you hate this idea or love it, but [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is cute to go with [name_f]Indi[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f].
Luna Lardner reminds me of Luna Lovegood (from Harry Potter) because of Luna and the alliterating L’s.
Luna Eve is pretty, but a lot of night relations. (Luna - moon, Eve - evening ect.)
Neve and Willow are pretty! How about Neva or Willa?
other ideas:
Amber (same problem as Piper)
Calla
Sydney
London
Sasha
Anya
Ember (Piper again)
Pippa
Echo
O my, I adore [name_f]Indi[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]! So lovely.
Couple suggestions:
[name_f]Dasha[/name_f]
[name_f]Sonia[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
I also adore [name_f]Neve[/name_f]/[name_f]Neva[/name_f]
Get your husband on board for [name_f]Luna[/name_f]! It is just great in so many ways (short, cute, mysterious, magical, bright). I just know that a little girl would love having that name.
