I love both of these names! It’s a hard choice since the meaning are also so beautiful for each too.
I would have to say I would choose [name_f]Lily[/name_f] though. I agree with above posters who say it’s more timeless than [name_f]Luna[/name_f].
I also happen to have a lot (a lot, a lot) of friends who have dogs or cats named [name_f]Luna[/name_f]. Which is by no means me saying that it’s a pet name, just personally I don’t think I could use it for that reason. It will have to stay a GP name for me!
This one’s a toss up for me. I prefer [name_f]Luna[/name_f] usually, but its becoming sooooo popular. And whenever I suggest it in real life, the reaction is always, “That’s a dog’s name.”
Which, for the record, I still think its lovely on a human, but be prepared for that if you use it. And the [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] reference is awesome.
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] sounds more juvenile and cutesy compared to [name_f]Luna[/name_f], but also has the longer [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] that you could use.
I definitely prefer [name_f]Luna[/name_f]. I think I do because [name_f]Lily[/name_f], and all of the variations, are super popular where I live. [name_f]Luna[/name_f] is more unique. But I definitely think [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is more timeless than [name_f]Luna[/name_f]. [name_f]Luna[/name_f] I associate as a trendy name. I think there will be a time where it is out of style. If you’re worried about the trendiness of a name, I would say go with [name_f]Lily[/name_f], but if that is not a problem for you, I would say go with [name_f]Luna[/name_f]!
Both lovely, but [name_f]Luna[/name_f] feels a little bit bolder and feistier, which is a vibe I love in a girls’ name. So my vote goes to [name_f]Luna[/name_f]
If [name_f]Luna[/name_f] is too commonly used for you, what about [name_f]Lumina[/name_f], Lumiere, [name_f]Lana[/name_f], [name_f]Leda[/name_f], [name_f]Leta[/name_f], [name_f]Loire[/name_f], [name_f]Letitia[/name_f]?
