What does everyone think of the name [name_f]Luna[/name_f] ? Is it too silly to use? I love it but am not sure it’s worthy of using.
I adore [name_f]Luna[/name_f] and think it’s absolutely usable. That being said, I have nothing but positive connections with [name_f]Luna[/name_f] Lovegood, the character most people would probably think of. It’s a connotation to be aware of, but definitely not a deterrent.
I love [name_f]Luna[/name_f]! I don’t think it’s silly at all.
I have been loving the name [name_f]Luna[/name_f] lately too! I think of [name_f]Luna[/name_f] Lovegood as well but she is such a strong and confident character I would have no problem naming my daughter after her.
I think it is very usable! 
it would be on my short list if my sister hadn’t used the name for her puppy (she got the idea from a sweet little girl in the daycare she works at!)
I think it sounds a little silly for a person, probably because the first time I had ever heard it used was for the strange character [name_f]Luna[/name_f] in [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m]. Also I know several dogs named [name_f]Luna[/name_f] so I guess I have kind of branded it as pet name in my mind.
What’s “silly” about the name? I love [name_f]Luna[/name_f] sooooooo much! I think that it’s a beautiful, wonderful, magical name! If [name_f]Luna[/name_f] was not so popular and common, my husband and I would definitely use it as our daughter’s first name!
