Is [name_f]Lunette[/name_f] too out there for a middle name? When I was looking over relatives I’d want to honor, [name_f]Lunette[/name_f] really fits the bill with both of my grandmothers and keeps the L tradition going on my mom’s side.
It does have historical use, and I live in the U.S., so I am less worried about the [name_m]French[/name_m] glasses connection.
Thoughts please!
I don’t think it sounds too odd for a MN. It’s got a pretty sound even if it does make me think of the glasses.
I speak [name_m]French[/name_m], so I just can’t help but thinking about the glasses. If it doesn’t bother you go for it though.

I think it should be okay in the middle. I love it as a first but sadly the glasses association and more so the menstrual cup (which I didn’t even know existed until I came on here), has got me thinking I’ll have to make it a guilty pleasure. Incredibly annoying.

As another [name_m]French[/name_m] speaker, I too think of the glasses connection, but it is very pretty and I think it would make a fab middle!
[name_f]Lunette[/name_f] was the name of a clown on my favourite kids’ show growing up - The Big Comfy Couch. The Big Comfy Couch - Wikipedia
She spelled it Loonette, but still - I can’t shake the association, or the theme song that begins playing in my head when I see the name [name_f]Lunette[/name_f].
I would give it a hard pass if it were me, but since you likely don’t have the same connection (I think the show was only in [name_f]Canada[/name_f]), it probably doesn’t bother you.
I immediately thought of the Big Comfy Couch too, and glasses. I think it’s fine for the middle spot.

I don’t think it’s a bad-sounding name, but I have trouble thinking of it as a name at all, and prefer [name_f]Luna[/name_f].

Plus the [name_f]Luna[/name_f] root always makes me think “loony/crazy”
