Luxi, Luxa or Luxia?

I love the sound of [name]Lux[/name] (It’s basically pronounced lukes/loox) but it just doesn’t seem feminine enough to me. So, I came up with Luxi, Luxa an Luxia. I’m in love with Luxi, and still considering Luxa or Luxia. Plus, they make great alternatives to the rising US star and the top 10 UK [name]Lucy[/name].

Plus, [name]Lux[/name] could be a nickname.

What do you think? Stick with [name]Lux[/name], or drop the idea? (I’m not pregnant, but I love considering names.)

I love [name]Lux[/name]. I wouldn’t change the name I think it takes away from it’s natural beauty and meaning. I think the name is usable but, prefer it on a blonde girl verses other hair colors.

I personally think that [name]Lux[/name] is perfectly able to be a stand alone name. I really like it and in Spanish it means light? Correct me if I’m wrong! Luxi, Luxa and Luxia kinda look made up in my opinion but if I had to pick one, I think Luxi would be kinda cute. You could also maybe have [name]Lexa[/name] or [name]Alexa[/name]/ [name]Alexis[/name]. I thinkg they could work for the nn [name]Lux[/name].

[name]Bree[/name]

I don’t really like [name]Lux[/name] at all as i think it sounds harsh on a little girl, but I do like your alternatives. I don’t mind made up names if they don’t look or sound ridiculous and your sound perfectly fine (like [name]Lexi[/name]) and I really like Luxi and Luxia.

[name]Lux[/name] is fine if you like it …Luxi as well .

I quite like [name]Lux[/name] [name]Verity[/name] as in [name]Light[/name] and truth

This!

though I prefer the “lucks” pronunciation personally.

Definitely Luxa, very pretty and also a main character in the book [name]Gregor[/name] the Overlander

I think [name]Lux[/name] is fine the way it is. And I also prefer–and have only ever heard it as–“lucks.” I understand wanting a longer version though.

@namelover: Close! It’s “[name]Luz[/name].” :slight_smile:

I prefer the “Lucks” pronunciation, but it is still really pretty. Although Spanish for light is ‘[name]Luz[/name]’, '[name]Lux[/name]"means light in Latin, I think, so that still works :slight_smile:
