What would you name our coming baby? She will have three big sisters - [name]Elise[/name], [name]Marie[/name], and [name]Clara[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] - my husband’s favorite. I like it, but worry it’s getting too popular, also am not sure that I like the “uh” ending being the same as big sister [name]Clara[/name].
[name]Pearl[/name] - my favorite, my husband hasn’t ruled it out but I think he feels it sounds too old.
[name]Elena[/name] - we both like it, for a week or so we were sure it was THE NAME. But, it starts like [name]Elise[/name] and ends like [name]Clara[/name], and I’m not sure why but I just am not sure it’s the one anymore.
We’ve been going around and around in circles on the name choice - I’d love to have some more outside input! Which would you choose and why?
I like both [name]Pearl[/name] and [name]Elena[/name], if you feel that [name]Elena[/name] is too repetitive of your other name choices, I suggest [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Pearl[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] are my favourites. [name]Pearl[/name] has been on my long list, but my husband doesn’t like it for the same reason as yours. I think [name]Lydia[/name] is classic, pretty, and not too popular. I don’t think the “uh” ending on both [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] is an issue.
My favourite is [name]Elena[/name] but considering your other kids names I would go with [name]Pearl[/name]. I agree that [name]Lydia[/name] sounds too popular.
What about [name]Elise[/name] & [name]Marie[/name] & [name]Clara[/name] & [name]Alexis[/name]
Thanks all! Whirligig, I like [name]Alexis[/name] but am looking for a 5 letter name to go with the rest of the family… all of us have 5 letter first names, it wasn’t on purpose, but now that it’s that way I wouldn’t want the last little girl to be left out!
I like [name]Lydia[/name]! [name]Elise[/name], [name]Marie[/name], [name]Clara[/name], and [name]Lydia[/name] work together really well, imo, and [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] aren’t too close for sisters at all, imo! [name]Elena[/name] is lovely, but [name]Elise[/name] and [name]Elena[/name] are a bit too close for me. [name]Pearl[/name] is nice, but I’ve never really been able to imagine it as a FN. I have it as a MN all over my list, but for some reason, I just can’t imagine a [name]Pearl[/name]. It is very pretty, though, and just as distinct as your other girls’ names!
I like [name]Lydia[/name] and [name]Pearl[/name] best. I think that [name]Elena[/name] is too close, and I think that the other two fit better. I personally like [name]Pearl[/name] more, but I think [name]Lydia[/name] works well. I wouldn’t worry about [name]Lydia[/name] and [name]Clara[/name].
1 [name]Elise[/name], [name]Marie[/name], [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Pearl[/name] - A lovely vintage sibling group. I think [name]Pearl[/name] has the same “feel” as your three daughters names.
2 [name]Elise[/name], [name]Marie[/name], [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] - OK but [name]Lydia[/name] has never been a fave of mine and it ends similarly with [name]Clara[/name].
3 [name]Elise[/name], [name]Marie[/name], [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Elena[/name] - [name]Elena[/name] is pretty but shares an initial with [name]Elise[/name].

You all seem pretty split as far as favoring [name]Pearl[/name] or [name]Lydia[/name] Guess that means my hubby and I are going to have to sort it out for ourselves. It’s good to know you haven’t met a [name]Lydia[/name], catloverd! I know 3 little Lydias! [name]One[/name] of whom also has a sister named [name]Elise[/name]. It is really keeping me from wanting the name (although I do think it’s a lovely name) but it doesn’t bother my hubby at all.
I love [name]Elena[/name], so beautiful. [name]Lydia[/name] is lovely too. I don’t like [name]Pearl[/name] as a first name, but it could be a sweet middle name.
Update: We’ve decided!!! I read my husband all of the responses and he agreed with me… [name]PEARL[/name] IS THE NAME!!! Thanks all for your help! Taking the time to give your input has been such a gift to me!
