Lydia Primrose? Or Lydia Catherine?

We’re expecting our fourth child (gender will be a surprise, as always) and have narrowed it down to our top three for each. We will take all six to the hospital with us and choose there, just like we did in the past.

The only thing left to to now is to choose a middle for [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] (our current favorite). We were thinking either [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] or [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], but we are open to suggestions at this moment!

So please, fire away

Both are wonderful combinations. You can’t go wrong with either and it’s a really hard one for me to choose. [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is a gorgeous, cool, slightly funky combo full of personality. [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is gorgeous classic and classy. Both in a way feel like perfect naming to me.

However just to go for one, I’ll choose the more daring [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]!

I love [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]!!! I really like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] with it. [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is okay…it’s just too tied to pop culture in an obvious way that doesn’t leave it sounding fresh at this point. However, [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is just beautiful!

Thanks to the both of you

[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is fun! [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] is a lovely traditional, sophisticated choice for the first name, so I think you can afford to go a bit quirkier for the middle.

Both are lovely. [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] is quite popular in my area though, so I prefer the freshness of [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f].

[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]! I love how whimsical and pretty they sound together. gorgeous!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] both of your options, but slightly prefer [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]. [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] just balances out the combo the best

I personally have [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] on my list, but some other suggestions are:
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Odette[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Ondine[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Coraline[/name_f]/[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is adorable and flows beautifully!

I think both are lovely, but as your other kids have quite unusual names the [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] combo fits better with them.

Thanks, everyone!

Thanks for the suggestions! We really like [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Odette[/name_f]

I absolutely love either [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] or [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] has a fraction more of the “just stepped off the pages of a [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u] novel” classic feel to it. [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is beautiful, and one of my favourite flower names. You have wonderful taste, so just go with your heart. You can’t go wrong with either of these combinations, as far as I’m concerned.

I definitely prefer [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. It is such a classic name that will never go out of style. I think the middle name [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] gives the name a classical elegance and sense of longevity.

They are both beautiful. I prefer the more unexpected, spunkier [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]. Although I love [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is gorgeous.

[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] gets my vote.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Odette[/name_f] as well.

I prefer [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. I find myself tripping over the repeated short I sound sounds in [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] just a little and I think [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] suits [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] (image and personality wise) better.

I like [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] - has a real ‘Pride and Prejudice’ vibe to it

I think lydia [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is stunning!

[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]!

I love [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]- classic but fresh and spunky at the same time. [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is lovely but doesn’t have the same verve, and I think one classic and one more unusual name goes better with your other kids’ names than two classic names. You can’t really go wrong here though!
