We love the name [name]Lydia[/name], but we are stuck on a middle name. Here’s what we have so far;
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Jade[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margo[/name] (I’m falling for this one, and my grandmothers name is [name]Margaret[/name] so I thought this is a nice way to honor her, what do you think?)
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Persephone[/name] (guilty pleasure of mine!)
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
That’s all we’ve got! Which is your favorite? And we would love some ideas!
Wow, I really love [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margo[/name]!! I think it’s amazing, two great names that flow really well together, and it’s a bonus that you’re honoring a relative.
Second place would be [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name].
Of course, honoring a relative is great - somehow, though, [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margo[/name] sounds off to me; I think it’s because of the emphasis being on the first syllable in both [name]Lydia[/name] and [name]Margo[/name] makes the name flow feel unbalanced and also because stylistically [name]Margo[/name] feels so much more modern and edgy. I much prefer [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name].
I love [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]. Have you thought about [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]? [name]Margaret[/name] is a classic name that goes well with [name]Lydia[/name], which is also a classic name.
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] is on my list of names for future daughters! I love [name]Lydia[/name]! Such a great name…
I think [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], and [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] are great. I don’t love the sound of [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margot[/name], so maybe [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] would work for you. It all depends on how many syllables your surname is, to be honest. Is your surname short, medium, or long?
[name]Jade[/name] seems trendy… I like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margo[/name], but prefer [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]. [name]Persephone[/name] is a guilty pleasure for me, too, but I’m not sure about the flow of [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Persephone[/name]. [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] is very pretty.
Thanks everyone, I like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] but we aren’t completely sold on it.
Our last name is 4 Syllables and sounds like DiCaratto.
What do you think of [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name]? We want something fun and spunky, but not completely out there. We like traditional first names, but we want to show our fun side with middle names.
As much as I love [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] - seriously, both awesome names! - I think something shorter is best with [name]Lydia[/name] and your long last name. I’m not exactly sure how adventurous you want to get, though…
I think [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margot[/name] is stunning, and I love the reason behind [name]Margot[/name].
My mother wanted to call me [name]Lydia[/name] before I was born, and she chose [name]Rose[/name] as a middle name, which I always thought was quite nice.
I like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margot[/name] much better though!
With your 4-syllable last name, I love:
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Jade[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
I quite like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Phoebe[/name], but maybe you need something a bit, well, different?
I’m having trouble being creative, unfortunately, tonight, but I did manage to think of something - [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Seren[/name] (SER-en), as [name]Seren[/name] means “star” and is a unique and sophisticated choice. I love it with your last name! Oh, what the heck, here are some more…
Thanks! We both loveee [name]Seren[/name]! We will have to do some research on it, but it seems to be on top right now. For some reason we both like names that start with S in the middle spot… Thanks again!
sorry I don’t like any. [name]Jade[/name] is trendy and reminds me of “Las [name]Vegas[/name]” lifestyle on the strip. I prefer [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] compared to [name]Margo[/name]. If that’s who your naming her after why not use her full name its not like its a bad name:) [name]Don[/name]'t care for [name]Pearl[/name] feels to old. I’m just not a [name]Gem[/name] name person. Get ride of guilty pleasures you’ll regret it later (just ask me about it.) [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. You want the name to age well and suite her all her life and people know how to spell it.
Oh, I’m so glad you all love [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Seren[/name]! I think it is the perfect compliment of vintage chic and modern flair. I don’t know much about [name]Seren[/name] other than it being a popular Welsh name meaning “star.” Tell me what else you find out, please!
Um, can I just clarify that your last name starts with a D, yes? I don’t mean to bring up anything potentially detrimental to you using [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Seren[/name], but if your last name does begin with a D, her initials will be LSD, like the drug. Not really ideal, but maybe not a deal breaker? I don’t know, but I thought I’d point it out, even though I think [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Seren[/name] is totally gorgeous!
Ughhh, thanks for reminding us of that! I think it may be a deal breaker. We decided against using a name starting with a C or E, since her initials would be LCD (as in the TV) or LED (as in the light). We definitely wouldn’t want her initials to spell out a drug.
Thanks for letting us know that! I guess we’ll have to keep looking. This is getting complicated!
