Lysander Amias vs Leander Amias

I did a poll and was still debating for name list [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] vs [name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] .. I also like [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m], or [name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]

[name_f][/name_f]

Thoughts on [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] vs [name_m]Leander[/name_m] and which middle name or maybe a differnt middle name [name_f][/name_f]? Suggestions?

Thanks :yellow_heart:

I slightly prefer the flow of [name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m], as [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] has some similar sounds that make it a bit repetitive

I slightly prefer [name_m]Leander[/name_m] to [name_m]Lysander[/name_m], so [name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] gets my vote! [name_f][/name_f] (Also really like [name_m]Amias[/name_m] Leander!)

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] is ok but doesn’t do a ton for me—I like [name_m]Amias[/name_m] better with both. [name_f][/name_f] Maybe [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Otto[/name_m] or [name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_m]Otto[/name_m] if you’re not convinced of [name_m]Amias[/name_m] or [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]?

Good luck!

Lysander’s my #1[name_f][/name_f] boys name, so individually he gets all my votes. But for combos, I slightly prefer [name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m], just because there’s not as much S. I think [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] sounds really nice!

A vote for [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m]! I find the repeated sounds pleasing and not too much, and for me [name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] flows together a bit too much – they are both very ‘liquid’ names with lots of consecutive vowel sounds.

I think [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] flows slightly better to me [name_f][/name_f]- something poetic and melodic about it

I love [name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]. Very handsome.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

[name_f][/name_f]

This is tough. How about a pros and cons list?

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] Pros:

[name_f][/name_f]

-this flows better, because there are no repeating ‘s’ sounds

[name_f][/name_f]

-you could use the nn [name_m]Andy[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m] or [name_m]Lad[/name_m]

[name_f][/name_f]

-it’s easier to say and spell, probably

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] Cons:

[name_f][/name_f]

-it’s not as mystical as [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] Pros:

[name_f][/name_f]

-mystical & fun!

[name_f][/name_f]

-Sandy is a really cute and unique nn. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it?

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] Cons:

[name_f][/name_f]

-LySander AmiaS is a little ess-y for my tastes. I still prefer it to [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m], though.

[name_f][/name_f]

-harder to say and spell

[name_f][/name_f]

-less nns, I think? [name_m]Leo[/name_m] doesn’t make as much sense, but [name_m]Lad[/name_m] does. And [name_m]Sandy[/name_m].

[name_f][/name_f]

This probably hardly helps. :joy:[name_f][/name_f] But I do think that [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] is just more interesting. They’re both nice, though. Really can’t go wrong. [name_f][/name_f] I guess it depends on if you’d prefer easier or more fanciful.
