This combination just came to mind. I absolutely adore both names and I’m surprised I haven’t thought of pairing them before. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is my great-grandmothers name and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is for my step-grandmother.
I actually considered this combo for my daughter [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], but it didn’t work with our surname (and my husband lothes [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f])
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is a beautiful name and I love that it is special to you. I have [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] in my top 5. [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] honoring my mother-in-law and [name_f]Snow[/name_f] honoring my late grandma. [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is a beautiful name, one that is very versatile and will age well.
There are far too many Girls with the names [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f], and [name_u]Madison[/name_u] these days for me to warm up to the name. I much prefer [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].

Yep. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] was my grandmothers middle name so I was set on using it. Sadly I have a bit of speech impediment and it sounds awkward. I still have [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] which unintentionally honors her.

I don’t mind the popularity of Mad- names. I wouldn’t give up or stop loving a name just because it was popular. [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f](this spelling and pronunciation) actually isn’t as popular as [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Madison[/name_u]. It hasn’t even broken top 200.

Yay! A new fan. I actually didn’t know it was my great grandmothers name until I started asking about family names. She died when I was an infant so I have no memory of her. [name_f]My[/name_f] grandmother was very close to her mother so this is great way to honor both of them. Luckily my family were good namers.
I agree about the spelling. Something about [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] draws me in more than [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and the other various spellings.
It’s a lovely combo, but as someone else said there are so many Mad- names out there right now, I would prefer [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].
