Thoughts and opinions on the names [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] will be pronounced with a [name_u]LYNN[/name_u] or LEHN ending not [name_f]LINE[/name_f]. Thank you!
I like both! But I have a slight preference for [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], just because I think people will constantly mispronounce [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]. I would pronounce it LEHN. I think if you want the [name_u]LYNN[/name_u] pronunciation, you should spell it [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] not [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].
Yes. That is our main concern. We prefer the LEHN ending. I know most people will probably say [name_u]LYNN[/name_u]. I will be OK with that if it happens. I am not a fan of the [name_f]LINE[/name_f] ending. It has always been my favorite, but the idea of always correcting the spelling and pronunciation is making us think twice.
You could not possibly go wrong with either; I love both! I will say I already know two couples who have a [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but I don’t know anyone with an [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. I know [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is gaining popularity on the charts rgh now but I haven’t seen any babies with this name recently. I think I’d lean more toward [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] if you want something a little more vintage; however, both are absolutely beautiful and timeless choices.
don’t think you could go wrong, both of those names are great. I prefer [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I think its more flowy and romantic. Also, I happen to think the nickname [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] is a bit overused, while [name_f]Amy[/name_f] or [name_f]Lia[/name_f] are less. Other then that, I love both your names. (I think it would be easier to use [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] if you want it pronounced this way) All and all, this is your baby girl and you should name her something you get joy saying everyday.
I have never been a great fan of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - and definitely prefer [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I like the pronunciation [name_u]LYNN[/name_u] rather than LEHN but both are beautiful.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is an absolutely amazing middle name!
I think you may also run into spelling issues with [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], unfortunately. I live in the US Midwest, and I am more accustomed to the spelling [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], which I would pronounce [name_f]LINE[/name_f]. [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] makes me look twice, but I still would probably initially say [name_f]LINE[/name_f], although I agree LEHN is prettier. I think it depends on where you are. I think [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would get rid of those pronunciation issues, but I think [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] matches better with [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]. I will also say that I know both an [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and an [name_f]Emelia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], if popularity bothers you. [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] seems more unique to me. I know several little girls called [name_f]Maddy[/name_f]/[name_f]Maddie[/name_f]/[name_f]Mady[/name_f]/Maddee etc., but they are all Madisons (and various spellings of that).
