I have to admit that I initially read the title as Madeline the Pearl, for some reason. But once I reread it, I like it.
I would go for the Madelyn spelling for the pronunciation you are after. I know that many people, including myself, default to the mad-uh-line pronunciation for Madeline, and Madelyn takes away that ambiguity.
I just prefer the [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] spelling, its an easy correction for the pronounciation
