Yes, me again with the double names. I was just doing a CAF and came up with the first name [name_f]Mae[/name_f]-[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] (-line pronunciation not -lyn). I really like it! Is it too much? I love alliteration so I’m sure that’s one of the appeals. If you are not a fan of [name_f]Mae[/name_f]-[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] can you come up with other [name_f]Mae[/name_f] combos for me?
I really like [name_f]Mae[/name_f]-[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]! Looks gorgeous.
[name_f]Mae[/name_f]-[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is very sweet and beautiful. Personally I would not hyphenate and just use [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] has a double first name. For example we have [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u], [name_f]Indie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], and [name_f]Edie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] on our short list. They would be called, for the most part, [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Indie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_f]Edie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Mae[/name_f]-[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]! Not usually a fan of [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], as I dislike the -lyn ending, but I do really like it with the -line ending, and I love the storybook quality of the sound of [name_f]Mae[/name_f]-[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]! It is a bit on the long side, but I think it’s adorable, nonetheless, and I would love to meet a little [name_f]Mae[/name_f]-[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]!
I agree it is very pretty but all I can think about is a little girl needing to learn to spell her name when she starts school.
Thanks for weighing in on that. I go back and forth on the hyphen. I want people to know she’s to be called by both, in which case I think the hyphen helps. But I don’t actually care for the look of it.
You are most welcome.
Those were our thoughts also. In the end I just really do not like hyphens. I feel if I call, let’s say, [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], others will follow suit. I also feel a hyphen does not guarantee people using both names.
I don’t personally like it
