I’ve really taken a liking to [name_f]Mabry[/name_f] lately but I feel that pronounciation is a problem. I really like the -ae combination in [name_f]Mae[/name_f] or [name_f]Maebelle[/name_f] and I thought maybe Maebry was a more straightforward name in terms of pronounciation, and I like it as much as Maebry. What are your thoughts? I may just stay with the spelling [name_f]Mabry[/name_f] depending on the response.
Something about Maebry doesn’t look right to me; but I would pronounce [name_f]Mabry[/name_f] correctly so I don’t think the original spelling is a problem!
I’ve personally never heard it mispronounced and very much so prefer the original spelling.
It might depend on where you live. I could see [name_f]Mabry[/name_f] getting mistaken for Mah-bree, or something to that effect. I feel like Maebry clears up any potential for mispronunciation.
I also think people could mistake [name_f]Mabry[/name_f] as Mah-bree but spelling it Maebry will leave no doubt on how it’s pronounced.
I’ve never heard of this name before, so I’d recommend keeping the “e” if you use it. However, I’m not a huge fan of the name, as it sounds so much like “maybe” to me.
I love Maebry and prefer this spelling. [name_f]Mabry[/name_f] just looks off to me. Like less of a name?
Maebry somehow changes to may-brigh in my mind where as I see [name_f]Mabry[/name_f] as may-bree.
