I’m really in love with the name Maelee Rienne (pronounced [name]Ryan[/name]) right now. Is it usable? My sisters middle name is [name]Mae[/name], my grandmas is [name]Lee[/name], and my mother inlaws name is [name]Adrienne[/name]. That’s where we got Rienne from.
I think Maelee works, although it is not my cup of tea.
[name]How[/name] do you get the [name]Ryan[/name] pronunciation from Rienne/[name]Adrienne[/name]? I would have pronounced it ree-EN.
I know a [name]Mei[/name] Lei, so Maelee just looks odd to me. And it would have pn and spelling issues. But since it has the family significance I think it could work. I would pronounce Rienne ree-en, as well. As long as you don’t use it very often, and since it’s in the mn spot, it might work. Maybe a name that starts with ad— would work better for pronunciation sake. Or ask your mil what names she likes and use one of those.
Maelee just looks like another trendy, “mommy trying to be unique” name. It fits perfectly with all of the other [name]Kaylee[/name]/[name]Baylee[/name]/Raylee/[name]Shaylee[/name]/[name]Haylee[/name]/[name]Jaylee[/name]'s.
I’d pronounce Rienne as ree-EN. Honestly, the whole combo looks like someone trying too hard to be unique.
I’m not usually a fan of super nontraditional names, but I absolutely [name]LOVE[/name] Maelee! You should think about pronouncing the name [name]Ree[/name]-En instead of [name]Ryan[/name] though. No little girl wants a boy’s name!!
If there were no new names being used like this, everyone would be the same. Nothing wrong with trying to give your kid a unique name!
I love the name [name]Miley[/name] as well, but would NEVER consider using it, for obvious reasons.
It’s not a “new” name, it’s a made up name. And it’s not unique, either. When there are thousands of other little rhyming-with-mae/lee’s, it hardly sounds unique.
[name]How[/name] would using a real name make “everyone the same”? I don’t get it.
[name]Just[/name] FYI: In 2011 there were 66 little girls named Maelee in the United States. The name is neither “new” or truly “unique”.
Though I do think it is very much on trend (there was something like 500+ names used with -lee- incorporated somewhere in the fn).
I’d prefer it as a double barrel name. [name]Mae[/name]-[name]Leigh[/name] or [name]Mae[/name]-[name]Lee[/name] (if you really want to stick with the -ee ending).
It does remind me of Soong [name]May[/name]-Ling though. (Neither here nor there just thought I’d mention it).
[name]Maelie[/name] is an established French name that means “princess.” According to NB it can be pronounced [name]May[/name]-lee or [name]Miley[/name]. I think it’s a much more elegant option. Also, I truly don’t think there’s any way to get “[name]Ryan[/name]” from Rienne. [name]Adrienne[/name] is an established name and most people know how to pronounce it, so Rienne just looks like [name]Adrienne[/name] with some missing letters.
Personally, I think [name]Maelie[/name] [name]Ryan[/name] is lovely. Maelee Rienne looks like you’re trying too hard to be different.
I think this is a good compromise. Maelee Rienne is very trendee.
I just had a thought. If you don’t like using [name]Ryan[/name] in the middle, what about [name]Rhiannon[/name]. It’s similar to Rienne in pronunciation ([name]REE[/name]-ann-an). I think it [name]Maelie[/name] [name]Rhiannon[/name] has a nice sound.
oh [name]Maelie[/name] [name]Ryan[/name] would be really nice. (I know a little @nn-[name]Ry[/name]@n and she loves having the masculine [name]Ryan[/name] in her name even though she is super girly)
I love Rienne, pronounced ree-en. [name]Ryan[/name] should be spelled [name]Ryan[/name]. Rienne does not in any way get you the pronunciation [name]Ryan[/name]. Since Rienne is to honor [name]Adrienne[/name], pronouncing it [name]Ryan[/name] doesn’t sense.
Maelee would make a great nickname. [name]Katherine[/name] Heigl named her daughter [name]Nancy[/name] [name]Leigh[/name] and calls her Naleigh, which is, I think, a good compromise. You can have the cute nickname and a name to fall back on, too. Have you thought about [name]Maelys[/name]? You could derive Maelee from that. Or [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Lee[/name], [name]Macy[/name] [name]Lee[/name], [name]Maisie[/name] [name]Lee[/name], [name]Maple[/name] [name]Lee[/name], [name]Maya[/name] [name]Lee[/name].
As for Rienne, upon seeing it, I pronounce it ree EHN. [name]How[/name] about Arienne? [name]Maelys[/name] Arienne called Maelee? [name]Maple[/name] [name]Lee[/name] Arienne called Maelee?
